Probably not. I'm unable to export bow / armor meshes from my current 3d-software so unfortunately I can't make a bow even if I wanted to. Making the textures and model alone would be no problem but to make it work with the animation all bows have in Skyrim is the hard part.
Probably yes, but ever since I started making these mods, I kind of decided that I'd make everything on my own without any premade material. Also the way the model is build is also important when it's rigged to the skeleton meaning if I just make a model and then textures for it, it might not work smoothly with the animation.
It is out! Finally Liliths Black sun Armor. Quite different, but higher quality and 100% support for gender and races!
UPDATE: Alrighty, I've been away from modding for quite some time again but I'll try to reply to all feedback and finish this mod. I lost all my progress with the male armor when I formatted my pc (I completely forgot to back the files up) but hopefully I hadn't done that much.
UPDATE2: Male armor is roughly finished and female armor cuirass is as well. Next in line will be gloves and boots for female + finalizing for both sets. I might remake the hoods as well. Estimated release is before christmas eve
Update3: Male set is about ready. Female Chestpiece is nearly done. Quite a bit of work still left but I'll try to get it done this month.
It looks great wiikki! But, If you would like some suggestions, how about adding Daedric pauldrons to the male cuirass? since female version has a sleek, seductive feel to it, it would be cool if the male armour was more brutal and intimidating. And nothing says "Brutal and intimidating armor" more than huge, badass, spiky shoulderpads, just like they are in daedric armor.... And as someone said before me, daedric "clawed" gauntlets model would make the armour look more demonic, and badass in overall.....
Also, on the top of the breastplate, i see an empty space, which just begs for some sort of emblem, or something....
That's a very good idea. BUT. there is always a but. The reason i'm making retextures is that I can't make a working armor mesh. If I replace or modify the mesh even a little, the skinning won't work and the model pretty much explodes ingame.
I'd like to do a LOT changes to the vanilla meshes (including UV map optimisation that would allow me to put loads more details in there :/) but I can't.
i found a fix for the rigging issue with the lilithsarmor that atleast works on my own game. this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2903/? has models of the ebony armor and a few others with the rigging fixed and i copied the .nif files for the ebony armor and changed the name and texture paths using nifscope to match those of the lilithsarmor chest and replaced the files.
I remember seeing that as well but there was some reason why i didn't include it. Probably was the permissions and modifications to the mesh but I'll have a look at it if I get the male armor ready someday (hopefully before christmas)
So, wiikki, how's the male armour progres going? It's been a long time since you announced it, and we haven't heard from you..... I'm not rushing you, but at least give us some WiP pictures to wet our appetites....
