If you are able to disenchant it but not apply it, its might be because he forgot to add the tag that prevents you from doing the former in the first place.
This is very nice mod! My main character has Vanilla body while my Lydia has UNP and we look like we have different bodies. Nice! Lydia is in the back of my picture.
