So, I'm very new to modding and was introduced to your tutorial recently. A lot of things have updated and personally I think your tutorial should be a little up-to-date as well. NifSkope has been updated and it was a little confusing getting things done but nonetheless I got it all to work... accept for one thing... the actual mod I'm trying to make.

So, in NifSkope, I can load up the hair and textures just fine. Also, in CK, my character loads up just fine as well. The only issue I'm having though, is there are 2 mods that will NOT stick no matter how many times I go through the steps in the tutorial. The mods I'm trying to use for my character are: KS Hairdos and ChrisRichardz Anime Eyes mods.

I should also mention that I run a lot of other mods as well such as UNP and CBBE as some of the mods I use don't require, but work for both. I might take off the CBBE mod and see if it fixes anything for mine in-game as I'm also having skin texture issues that I just can not fix...

Here are links to the images of the issues I'm having.

    - My character vs the NPC (The NPC no longer has that hairstyle and is loading in with a default Female Nord hairstyle)
    https://sta.sh/0c3zndztusp

    - NifSkope with the hairstyle I'm trying to use with the textures loaded in
    https://sta.sh/0ac8a5djrb1

    - The clipping issue is still a major problem I'm having even after changing the "armor" skin in CK, however, whenever I load up my character in CK itself her skin looks perfectly fine and she's shown with the default Female Nord hair and the human eyes rather than the hair and eyes I'm trying to give her.

Please, if someone can PLEASE point me in the right direction for an updated tutorial or tell me what I need to do in order to fix this, I would very much appreciate it! I'm so very new to modding, but I want to be able to make my playable character into a mod using other mods. I keep running into brick wall after brick wall and I don't know what to do at this point...

Followed the tutorial to the letter, but got a streak of red on my NPC's head. I managed to fix that problem, but it gave me the gray face bug. :C Any ideas?

The red forehead seems to be caused by skin altering mods (in my case fair skin complexion).

What solved it for me (and for many others apparantly) was going to the tintmask folder of the mod I am using (if u use MO)

      \textures\actors\character\character assets\tintmasks

and i removed (but backed up) the following files:

femaleuppereyesocket.dds (this fixed the red forehead)

femalelowereyesocket.dds (this fixed the area inbetween eyes and brows since this was also red in CK)

Another way would be to temporarily disable the mod and enable later when playing, but that would revert your skin back to fugly in CK (which isnt a big deal i guess)

After some struggle I managed to get my character work perfectly as a follower. Everything is OK except the forehead- it's red with a black patch like a headband.

The vanilla head works fine, but when I change to my character headpart- this happens.

    Any suggestion?

Every tutorial I found so far just assumes I already have the body meshes ready to use. My problem: I don't.

I have a question: How would I make a follower that is based on a couple presets I made through RaceMenu?

Also is there a video that pretty much shows how to do it with voice over commentary? Really like to know. ^_^ Please.

    P.S.

I wish Natilde's Tutorial was in Video form.. No music.. or just words.. Someone actually talking the viewers through it.

Is it just me, or is the mod file lacking from the download because I can't find it in any of the folders that the download gave me?

I know this message is old, but you're not the only one.

I'm liking the tutorial, very helpful, but I just have one or two questions.

    1. I don't have any custom .tri files with the Body/Texture mods I'm using, are the ones from a duplicated torso part of the same race ok to use as is?

2.My exported head meshes from Racemenu do not show up in the CK only the teeth and eye balls, in Nifscope everything looks fine.

The tri's would be located in data\actors\character\character assets\ and data\actors\character\character assets\faceparts. If you don't have any, the guide is for ECE but you're using Racemenu, so I've no idea what issues that might cause. If there's no head showing, you may have set the wrong *head.nif or *.tri's so double check they're all present and correct in the Head Parts in CK.

Nice tutorial, but i needed the NPC Nif Merge to leave the face with the same appearance.
