   @Kosmyc, well damn. Sorry about that. I had an issue with floating shields for a while, too. Are you using Armed to the Teeth, by chance?

   Great idea, I downloaded to try it out. Unfortunately the shield still wasn't temperable and when I tried to equip it, the shield didn't show on my character. Instead it floated underneath his feet and didn't go away until I loaded an earlier save.
