This seemingly works fine in Skyrim Special Edition if you manually download it and load through Mod Organizer 2. Texture appears correctly and looks great. Pure texture mods usually work fine, though need to be tested individually. The 2K performance version along with the smooth tusk variant skull looks the most natural in the game world IMO but the 4K version is still quite excellent. A vast improvement over the stock Special Edition textures.
Can a 2K version be a possibility? I know my computer could handle 4K but I have alot, I mean alot, of retexture mods and I think 4K might be overkill. Or can someone direct me to a mod that is 2K mammoth bone retext?
While on the subject shouldn't one get some steaks off a mammoth, who wants to eat only a snout?....If that's all you get why even bother to shoot one? and ivory makes great handels for knives and swords not to mention the leather.. it's gotta be really tough. elephant hide is some of the thickest known...make some great leather armor don't ya' think?....woodsmn
I would like to thank you all for downloading my mammoth bone textures and for your support, it has been quite a while since my last update 2 years or so, I have been very busy.
My old normal maps are bad, in fact they were not normal maps at all, just a poor imitation of normal maps, back then I did not have any knowledge on how to create normal maps so I made these imitations, I learned how to create normal maps, now I'm finalizing my work on the mammoth bone textures, proper normal maps are finished for the mammoth skull and ribcage with updated textures mainly to tackle the issue of their brightness in broad daylight 12:00-5:00 pm "in-game", they still look good under artificial light sources fire, torch, mage light, moon light...etc., I did not stop there, I also created specular maps to ensure they look good in bright light conditions.
I am also working on a couple of mods. A texture and a race.
I will update the textures as soon as I finish my work on them.
I know this has been a while since you worked on your mod, but is there any way you could create a less shiny normal map? I've had to disable your normal map and use the default vanilla one, as at night time (with ENB) it is way too shiny, especially in a VERY dark scenario.
