SE Conversion for Download I converted this for SE and unless the mod author objects I'd like to share it here. I'll remove this post if anyone objects, please let me know. Here it is converted for SE. I tested it and it's freaking amazing not to hear all my followers unsheath their weapons when I equip a weapon outside of combat. Hot damn!
I've been looking for a mod that does this for a long time and don't know why it took me this long to find it. Thank you so much! It makes the game so much better, really.

I don't think there is one for FO4 <<< Converting it was easy as there's only a ESP plugin so just load it into CK and save it after editing any name in the Object Window under Editor ID (no to New Form ID) and then re-editing the name back to it's original value > Save with the disk icon. (Ignore any errors > Yes to All)
Years and years of being annoyed by followers drawing and drawing and drawing that I didn't have to live through ... Thanks. A little late but this gets my vote this month.
I have to endorse this. It makes a wonder of a difference, especially with the companions mod I was using, so they're not constantly arming and re-arming themselves.
Dear GRIMELEVEN, could you please do a mod for Followers to remove their helmets when not in combat? I think AFT/UFO had that option but EFT (which seems far less buggy) does not.
