Why is every single mod like this sound perfect up until the point it says "Slows down skill leveling"
Im looking for slower leveling up, not skill leveling, theres no point in getting the mod if youre having problems with your player level itself going up too fast.
You've missed his point. If I train with someone five times I get a character-level-up, which levels up all the enemies. All I did was improve my speech a few points and now enemies do more damage to me? I'm sick of that.
No you are missing the point this game is achievement driven (not the bs steam kind) all actions influence the hole world . and really it has been a staple of Bethesda games FOREVER , like so what you want is to learn console commands , then you can have what you want. Because all actions in the game makes you who you are .
OK i have to say. Yeah you guys are still missing the point. A few examples. Quest give a high amount of XP. You gain skills killing mobs an that is XP. But What people want to do is this. Instead of 5 skill points equals 1 level up. it would be 10 Skill points to equal a level up. Lets say you hit a Trainer. You train 5 skills. it just levels you up. You should be able to gain skill and NOT immediately level up. You have a lot of skills. But to level up it takes only a few.
10 skill ups per level should be enough to enjoy the game. An as you level. THEN new mobs spawn. An you have more enemies to kill. But if you level too fast. You killed a wolf. Yeah about 10 wolves. But now your level 29 All you find now are Sabre cats. The level jump was huge! An it brakes the game. Faster leveling makes sense if your are testing for Beta. But when you go live. It needs to slow down a lot.
Dead topic, but I agree. Sometimes I just want to level up my blacksmithing or enchanting by 10 or 20 points. It doesn't mean I want to be level 10 in the first 2 hours of gameplay (In my current playtrough I was level 4 when I arrived in Riverwood with the vanilla start). Skyrim's progression works well enough if you play the bare minimum of content, but if you take a slow approach to the game, playing side and radiant quests, exploring locations and leveling some skills up, you can end up wheezing through the first 30 levels, causing a lot of the rewards you get to feel meaningless, not to mention causing you to miss out on modded content meant to be experienced at lower stages. So far, I've yet to find a mod to fix that.
I'm sorry, but I cannot figure out how to use this mod. I download and execute through Vortex. How do i change the values/choose which one to use? ANY instruction would help.
I tried testing this last night... tested with restoration specifically, ran one handed healing until my magicka was drained fully... checked my restoration skill progress before and after... i did this with the mod installed, and also without the mod installed. The little bar at the bottom of the restoration perk tree landed in the same identical spot on both tests, which tells me the mod was not working. A) did i misunderstand what this mod does? B) does it only take effect on a new game? C) unknown issue.
So fallowing normal math x 5 will be super fracking slow so id be like level 8 at the end of the game (well not see that this game ends right) and 3x would only really a speed bump on my way to Deity hood ....RIGHT? So when I get elven armor it will be useful for more then 2 Quests?
You are being over dramatic. I play with x 4 and after 11 hours I'm level 6. First thing I did when I got to the village was to get Sven as a companion, so he slows my leveling by taking and giving many hits and making the fights shorter. Also, I learned only 2 skill books and didn't do any paid training. I hope this can be used as a reference for other players.
My recommendation for most players that want to use this mod is x 2 or x 3.
Putting this above Ordinator won't do any good as you'll just get Ordinator's settings. You can use SSE Edit to copy these settings to into the Ordinator mod or create your own patch. It's takes all of two minutes to do this.
Weird compatibility thing. Illusion levels insanely slowly with the spell research mod. About 10x slower than other magic skills when studying illusion spells.

With Svartberg permission, i ported this mod to Skyrim SE.

Tell me if you encounter problems.
Assuming this no longer works with the new version, would this mod do the trick: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1251/?
I am currently running this with the x2 setting (takes twice as long) and would be using the 0.5 multiplier with the mod linked above.
Thanks.
