Recently I got into a dialog w/a fellow Skyrim Player that thought I was "totally cheating with this mod."
So I felt like entertaining myself and asked: "Why?" (He took the bait!! )
"Well it ruins the 'spirit of the game' and how the game was set up!" was his answer. (Such easy prey these days. How DID he ever become Dovahkiin?)
ME: "So, by the "spirit of the game" you mean exactly what?"
Him: "Following the game rules and such on how it was set up."
ME: "Do you use any mods that alter the game original set up?"
Him: "Yes, to make the game more real and fun to play!"
ME: "Then you already violated what you told me I was doing, by "ruining the spirit of the game and how it was set up."
Him: "Well, Besthesda left out some touches to make the game real. So thus the mod uses."
ME: "So let me get this straight, it's "real" to swim in freezing cold water for hours on end and not die? It's real to be able to go 48 - 50 hours with no sleep, let alone not eating or drinking? Not to mention some of the bear chested and two piece "armor" that they were up in Northern Skyrim??"
Him: "No that is why I have Frost Fall and Needs and Diseases."
ME: "Why do you have those? Do they not violate the "spirit of the original game'?
Finally I went in for the "kill".
Here is what I want you to do: In real life I want you to go flower and berry picking. BUT, you can only pick 1 flower and 1 berry from each plant. You can pick NO MORE than just 1 - until you reach 100 of each. Does not matter if you can pick more, because there is more on those plants - you can only pick 1. Then when when you reach 100 for each - you can than only pick 2 from each plant and you can NOT NOT go back to plants you already picked the 1 each from. Those have been harvested already.
Him: "Hey wait, that is not real in any situation."
ME: "Thank you, you just stated my point clearly. Now understand I do not use the 50 option. I thought it through and came to a compromise, because I realized the 'give and take' of the mod and limited it 10 each - which means I COULD have gotten more berries and certain flowers, easily - very easily in real life. But I also realize that I could not get 10 of certain other things - and I actually, of those things I could not really get 10 of - gave them away to vendors when they had no more Septims to give. That way I made no profit of them.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Not for the old game, anyway. I don't know if it works on special edition or not though, which is why I didn't list this on the skyrim SE nexus page.
I use the 10X option and it works just fine. Thanks for the simple mod that fix's something that should be in game, after all 1 flower or fruit per plant is just plain silly.
How exactly does the mod suck? It increases the amount of items you get from harvesting. It does exactly what it is intended to do without fail. I'd like to hear you try to justify your ridiculous opinion, please.
because it just multiply them by 10 20 30.. based on nothing just on a skill, on the other hand harvest overhaul muliply them based on the size and on the type, that's more lore friendly and immersive in my opinion and requires a lot work to do insteed of just add a multipler and call it a mod. so sorry but in my opinion Harvest Overhaul is a much much better mod but i have to use this one because Harvest Overhaul started crashing.. so while i wait that the author fix it i will use this mod.
I am fine with constructive criticism, and I understand this is much more basic than harvest overhaul. However this was never meant as something to make things more realistic. It was just meant to make things easier, and it does that quite simply and easily and there are plenty of people who are happy with what it does. So while I'd accept someone saying "I like this other mod better because..." or "I would like it better if your mod did this", someone coming in and just saying "your mod sucks" with no explanation what so ever... well they can go f*#@ themselves.
I think you spaced it out nicely and NO I do not thing it is "Cheating" - I never understood the 2 only, that just seemed silly. Now now, I am/was not looking for "MASS GOD COLLECTION" - but plants have more than 2 pettles on them and Most Falmer have two ears and such .....

This looks pretty sweet. I have heaps of mods that makes me use lots of Tundra Cotton, Snowberries etc. to craft clothing, so this should make things easier. Thanks
