This looks good. I spend a lot of time at the enchanter's table and I was always disappointed by the look of it. Thanks!

Yes, It's perfectly fine, albeit you'll see a bit more blurred (not much though) mainly due to the normal map res.

You don't need to change anything else, just maintain the same DDS compression of each file to preserve the alpha layer.

1024x1024 would be the optimal resolution for this if it wasn't for the asinine original UV mapping.

If you need more help, ask away.

If I opened the dds file and downres'd it to 1024px, would it still work? I'm not currently familiar with Skyrim's texture structure.

When I was looking here in the Nexus, to see if anyone else was also bothered by the blurry texture and had already made this mod, the ones I've seen swapped the texture with a different one that was different from the original.

Just did a quick search and there's just the same mods released, If you happen to find it again please write it here, might be of help to other people interested.

That UV part in the texture has 256x256 size, it's impossible to improve the clarity of the original texture unless you repaint it like I did. Filters like sharpen will only deteriorate the texture more in this case. Perhaps It was one of the other mods that swapped the lid with granite?

What I did was a bit more involved than swapping a background, I've found a similar wood grain texture for the diffuse, manipulated it a bit and had to recreate some of the detail in the normal map, no big deal and it's still quick, but it has more work than a swap.

There's another mod that increases the clarity instead of hiding the blurriness with a different background texture. I forget tho

The Skyrim Steam path is: (C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\..)

You have to put the textures there maintaining the rar file structure.

    (C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\clutter\enchantingworkbench01.dds)
For instance, or in your own Skyrim directory if you changed from the default.

The texture size right now is a bit much, but honestly this is something I've been really hoping for, and this looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it in-game.

Where do I put the .DDS files? An exact path would be appreciated, thank you. It looks great.
