    Wolves behave that way because of natural selection have taught them humans are dangerous and you should stay away from them. One can assume man have not hunted down wolves as efficient in skyrim as in the real world.

      No, you're very wrong. Wolves usually don't attack humans because we don't appeal to them as prey. Even before white people decided to mass exterminate them and created hysteria about wolves, they hardly attacked people. In the Americas there wasn't a mass hunting of wolves because they hardly posed a threat (before the white ppl came). Wolves usually only attack people if they feel threatened or if they're injured/sick. Also, there's nothing "natural" about making the animals extinct in a large amount of its natural habitat and wiping out many species of wolf. Mass hunting and exterminating of wolves didn't make them more subordinate or less dangerous; it just fucked up the ecosystem and wiped out large numbers of the animals.

      Not to mention that wolves were considered to be a majestic animal and revered by most native american civilizations

      as someone who has made an actual amature but scientific study of wolves I can say that according to all studies on the subject there has never been a recorded documented attack on humans by a healthy pure bred wolf. In all cases that have been investigated by biologists, attacks on humans have either been by rabid wolves or a wolf/dog cross bread.The only reason that the wolf gets such bad press is because in post agricultural societies wolves do prey on live stock if it is not properly protected and is therefore a direct competitor. Hunter gatherer societies including those in Europe praised the wolf as a good example of how to behave as their natural behaviour in the pack is to care for and protect the pack members and work together on the hunt, much the same as our own behaviour in ideal situations. Don't take my word for it google the subject and see for yourselves.

      @amethstarcher

      White people blah, blah, blah. Wolves are revered in Nordic/Germanic culture and I even have one as my Fylgja (follower spirit).

      Kregen sums it up well; "The only reason that the wolf gets such bad press is because in post agricultural societies wolves do prey on live stock if it is not properly protected and is therefore a direct competitor. Hunter gatherer societies including those in Europe praised the wolf as a good example of how to behave as their natural behaviour in the pack is to care for and protect the pack members and work together on the hunt...".

      @Leetyl
      Europe literally waged war against the European wolf and extinct it, they did the same once they arrived in the US.
      White people and wolves are natural enemies, like Englishmen and Scots, or Welshmen and Scots, or Scots and other Scots. Damn Scots, they ruined Skyrim for the Nords.

    Well, my wolf-friends... all appears to be okay- not only with this mod- but using it safely in combination with Automatic Variants, Skyrim Immersive Creatures... and last (but not least) True Wolves! I cleaned my copy of this mod with TES5Edit, and it seems to have been of no consequence, thankfully.

    Would you like to see a combination of this mod and the others, in action?

    TAH-DAHHHH!

    There you go! Those are Red Feral pups (from SIC) in a pack... acting skittish (RWB) wearing KrittaKitty's retexture! (True Wolves)

    How ya like dem apples? ( A silly old American phrase, which basically means: Not too bad, eh? )

    Were good to go here, boys & girls!
    Mix & match! Oh... and don't forget to sort w/ LOOT and clean w/ TES5Edit!

      Apologies for necro posting, but SIC pups are killing each other. Even the exact same type. This is a problem. If BlackWolf25 is still active, please let him know. I guess I'm dumping immersive creatures now too. Probably for the best really, too many plugins as is.

    Hi there! There isnt an incompatibility per say, but the mod Swift Steeds Stables places the Falkreath Stable where you have the Falkreath wolf pack! Is there anyway you could move the wolf pack to another area in Falkreath? Or maybe upload it in a way that we can choose which wolfpacks we want?

    Dearest BlackWolf25,

    Since our wolfy sister, KrittaKitty, is promoting the usage of THIS MOD via her "True Wolves" mod (in the comments section)...

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59174/?

    "F.A.Q:

    Q: Your wolves are too cute! I can't (wont) kill them anymore!!
    A: Try a behavior changing mod which makes the wolf AI more skittish and shy! That way you can have your cute wolves and not feel bad about hurting them. Try 'One with Nature', 'Realistic Wolf Behavior', or 'Primal Fear'." -KrittaKitty

    ...wouldn't you say its a safe bet to call this COMPATIBLE with True Wolves? (KrittaKitty knows best!)

    It's dirty, BlackWolf25... did you know this? Does KrittaKitty!?
    Surely you must use LOOT, like the rest of us! What gives?

    6 ITM records. Clean with TES5Edit? Well, here goes. Hope it's safe to do so!

    Is this mod compatible with true wolves of Skyrim? ---> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59174/? As well as Immersive creatures? which adds wolf pups?

    Only reason I ask is because with true wolves of skyrim, I dont want to have to constantly kill them anymore. They're so much more majestic and lovely now ;n;

    Not to mention I get attacked by wolves almost every 10 mins of walking and it gets REALLY REALLY annoying to the point I no longer want to play >.<

      Here you go Hun:
      player.addfac 3e691 4 (for allied wolves)
      player.addfac 2be39 4 (to keep the Whiterun guards from attacking you for being a wolf-lover, like me!)
      player.addfac 86eee 4 (so the rest of those annoying guards will go back to their sweet rolls)
      player.addfac 2be3b 4 ( "for dialogue" capabilities w/ all numbskulls on patrol)

      If that's not enough, check this out!
      http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Factions_A

      My suggestion is to always add the guard factions LAST... for somewhat obvious reasons!

      Have MORE FUN, kitsunelegend!

    Okay... on a newer playthrough, this mod has been working fine. But when I loaded up an older saved game of mine, the mod didn't appear to be working at all. I've tried putting it higher on the load order, uninstalling and reinstalling it, making clean saves, etc. but the wolves are still attacking me.

    Wolves only fear us because we kill them and we are better at it they are, it's as simple as that. They are predators and anything that looks weaker then them are food, any unarmed person could fits that description. They great wolf purges of the middle ages created this fear in wolves, and given this hasn't seemed to happen in this alternate world perhaps some armor or weapon conditions or pack behavior should be added? A single wolf would not shy away from a single unarmed person, because small pink things are food.

    As someone who loves wolves in real life, it bothered me how much I wound up growing to hate wolves in Skyrim. Now I no longer have that problem any more. Thank you very much.
