I love you for this, really this is a dream come true, ever since I first started playing this game I have been dreaming of something that takes off that stupid fur loincloth from this otherwise lovely armor, though I agree with holehjebuz that it seems there needs to be a little something in the absence of the skirt on this one, It would be great if the upper legs and crotch had their own plate coverings, but still I'm just so happy to finally have found this! I would love it if you did a female version too, I just don't think that fur bit really fits with the design of this armor, to me it looks out of place.
Spot on. Also, I don't think it really adds any useful function at all, aside from fitting in to the "northern barbarian theme" the land seems to be about.
This armour is pretty much what i've been looking for, but these holes are worrying. This armour is based on 16th century 3/4 plate armour with Poleyns covering thigs pic releated http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/08/Dresden-Zwinger-Armoury-Armor.09.JPG If you could do this, I'd be finally satisfied with armour i love.
They aren't "skirts" they are more like a loin-cloth ... this is to provide protection in between the legs without hindering the wearers ability to maneuver, i personally think the armours look silly now, as now it seems no man cares about the well being of his crotch because he wants to be 'manly' and not wear a 'skirt'
actually bro yes the skirts were used at one point but around this era they had nothing but plating they didn't have the skirt because of the metal that surrounded they crotch this particular type of skirt was used mainly for mail armor as it gave extra padding without constricting the wearer as u said so technically he did us a favor since Bethesda actually over looked this aspect of the armor around this particular era now if the steel armor had been mail id have agreed but to be honest this looks more like plate armor than the original did
Do you have plans on doing a dwarven one? If so are you going to remove the whole pelvis area or just the cloth? I think i would prefer a cloth-less version compared to a fully removed one.
