I believe that the mod is designed to protect the people not the structure itself, although good point. People would be able to run tothe sheltered bridge to protect themselves from the rain, this of course wouldn't happen but maybe with a mod...
Because covered Bridges are not (technically) made to protect people from the rain, but to protect the strcuture of the Bridge when made of wood. In skyrim, we only have stone bridges, and stone don't fear water, so they don't need to be protected with a roof.

I never really thought about it but the two below me are right (possibly because of weather clipping, but after all these years who isnt used to it?).
Looks pretty good, maybe weather and age it, moss it up a bit.
Are you going to do this for other bridges?
