Well crap i guess ill remove the GoT and the StB stuff then the Malukah is free so it will stay sorry everyone i dont want to be banned. Gratz to those that got the the files, I will be emailing the Record Labels and if i can get permission to use them like this then i will re-post them
Ceipher, I'm not a DMCA expert by any means, but I think you might be confusing the issue a bit. I don't believe anything regarding copyright protection and redistribution is ever "implied", it's usually pretty darn specific.
God, I love GoT and Valar Morghulis is one of my fav pieces of music from it. You know what they say; if there's any question, best to git while the gitten's good...lol.
If you are distributing the actual music files, that is a big no-no. People can easily take and extract the files. However, if you are merely providing the framework and instructions on using it, then that's fine.
For YouTube, you are not redistributing the files- the actual audio files are not available to download from there, and there is no way to do so. The links are to buy the soundtrack. There is no redistribution through YouTube.
As an owner of the Game of thrones soundtrack, I would recommend it to anyone who plays Skyrim as eerily perfect. Valar Morghulis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfzdEnQFyGc) starts playing whenever the redguards pass me by, or I see a dragon in the distance.
I will hope that, in light of your clear instructions for users to purchase the OSTs, moderators will find this to be acceptable. All of the tracks are on youtube and downloadable by anyone, (HBO Provide legitimate Youtube authenticated download links, meaning that re-distributing is acceptable in the Google+Youtube T&As ) and this would imply a reasonable distribution, and you clearly genuinely work toward the best interests of the company that owns the music.
