    Under the effect for Khajiit Claws, it says "A Khajiit does four times the damage of a man's punch."

    That actually is the bugged description for the Active Effect added by the Ring of the Beast, a Dawnguard item. The description for the Claws does say that they do 15 damage, while in reality, they only add 12 damage to the 10 base unarmed damage of a Khajiit punch.
    This mod addresses this discrepancy by changing the active effect, rather than changing the description.

    I believe in fact that the 12 damage is being added to the normal unarmed damage. It's just my guess though. In fact, it would work perfectly if the base damage was 4, and it was adding 12, making the final product 16. Maybe though before the end of production, they brought unarmed damage down to 3, and changed the tooltip to say 15 to reflect the new damage modifier.

    Khajiit race has 10 unarmed damage by default. So with the vanilla claws ability they really do 22 damage with unarmed strikes. Just sayin'...
