Hey I wanted to know if u knew of any way to keep the dawn breaker from hurting me even though I am a vampire? I know the weapon is supposed to be the "bane of the undead" but I don't really care for the lore in this matter. I just want to play as a vampire who can use dawnbreaker because he is awesome. Also great mod ????????
Is there a chance the explosion and audio can be removed in its entirety? Cause mostly I use a mod weapon which comes with the "On kill" effect, of making the target explode just like the Dawnbreaker does blow up the undead, and the explosion really gets visually distracting, and is just another fps hog when you piss off hold's guards and everybody starts to explode.
This seems like just the kind of thing I wanted, as I also find Dawnbreaker to be very disappointing later on in the game, and integrating sun damage is a good fit for Dawnguard (I wish Bethesda had done that).
My only remaining gripe really is the the explosion when killing undead is as more annoying than useful; more often than not it sends all nearby items flying, and having all undead nearby run away means triggering more enemies (whether or not you run the fleeing ones down yourself). I dunno if you're still interested in modding this, but I'd really love to see a modified more along the lines of the explosion being spectral, staggering undead and maybe making them weaker to turn undead effects (so you can followup with a spell to make them flee if you wish)?

Actually I already made a mod for that In the file section of this mod, the thing called "peaceful explosion" will remove the knockback of the explosion while leaving the rest unchanged. And since it only affect the explosion effect, you can use it alone or with any dawnbreaker mod.
Hmm.. My charge is still draining even though it's supposed to be unlimited. I use it along side daedric dawnbreaker and have tried placing dawnguard dawnbreaker before and after it, but it has no affect and the charges still drain.
You've only downloaded the "peaceful explosion" file which is a standalone option. Its only function is to remove the item knock-back. To have unlimited charge you need one of the main files.
I'm a vampire. Will the explosion affect me? It does with Daedric Dawnbreaker and it really pisses me off. You'd think I'd develop some resistance to this explosion by now...
