Is there any chance of getting an updated version of this mod for Special Edition? As someone who mostly plays Argonians, I always loved this and I miss it terribly. Such an elegant fix!
Dawnguard Armour design lead sat in Silver-Blood Inn: "Okay guys, we really need something that protects us against vampires. Y'know, neck protection is vital. Dawnguard designer: "Hey look, is that Hroki wearing that low dress again?"
And as such, the Dawnguard never got their neck protection.
It's a replacer, so it'll change every reference to the helmet, including crafted ones. I justify it as a replacer because there are so few characters who look good in the base helmet (and none in the vanilla game who actually wear it by default anyway).
Great for beast races- the default helmet was not only way too big for my Argonian, but the front part cut down into his head... seems like Bethesda messed up the beast version of the helm.
@Hedge: It wasn't a priority when I made the mod since no NPCs ever wear the light helmet. I don't know too much about compatibility issues that come with adding armor, but a replacer is actually less invasive in that department. Someone else is more than welcome to implement that!
wonderful idea for a replacement, looking at the final product it honestly feels like the TG hood was made for this armor set. after being highly disappointed with the original helm (the heavy one was alright, but I couldn't bear to wear the light one), I'm glad someone came up with this idea.
