Sorry for the exceedingly late reply. I seem to remember thinking about that when I made the mod, but can't remember why I didn't do it. If I ever get back into Skyrim I'll def look into that.
This version actually works if you download it and run it on SE skyrim using it now thank you for this! My aetherium crown now gives me 63 magika regen 63 magika and 63 health!
Good to know, thanks. Another player said the same thing ages ago so I was pretty confident that it works with SE.
I was going to release it on the SE pages but just didn't feel comfortable doing that unless I made it with the SE creation kit, which I never got around to doing. Kind of picky of me I guess.
(Actually, I guess I did publish it on SE back in 2018 but must have hidden it shortly afterwards. I've just unhidden it - thanks again for your comment)
Not sure if youre still around but i just wanna say this mod is a such a life-saver. Im playing with an alternate start setup which let you choose birthsigns right at the start, and it becomes permanent. Without this mod, the crown would literally be useless and redundant.
If I had but one request, it would be perusing the possibility of making the crown function as heavy armor and work in tandem with Dwarven Armor bonus perks/Ancient knowledge. Even if the armor value is 1, but it had the matching set ability with Dwarven armor that would be amazing.
Awesome. Thanks and kudos for the info. I was hoping that was the case, but couldn't confirm as I still don't have Hearthfires (I know, I know) so don't have the new edition of the game which I assume is necessary for the new CK. Cheers! (P.S. Dunno why your kudos count still shows zero, should be +1... nvm, fixed.)
I'm certain it's nothing to do with mod. I tried installing the esp before and after activating the forge and didn't have a problem, and installed it beforehand on my current playthrough - again without any problem. My guess is that you simply didn't obtain all the required raw materials. (A reply to an old post, I know. I'd originally replied as part of my previous post but thought it would be better here.)
Just returned to playing Skyrim after a long while and just thought I'd point out that the item id code isn't changed by this mod. I.E xx00575a, where "xx" is the spot in which Dawnguard appears in your load order. (Probably 03.) And thanks for the endorsements, much appreciated.
Also, a total shout out to the author of http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38778/? which replaces the texture and meshes to make the crown pretty spectacular. The loose files version works perfectly with this mod.
Anyone know the IDitem code for the unenchanted crown. my save can;t enter the Forge cause my game crashes whenever I do, Too much meddling around with the console caused that.
@Arjisaj: I ended up dropping Aeterna and went back to Better Circlets. I actually really liked the detail work on Aeterna but the lighting scheme in my game made the gold circlets (and the Aetherial Crown) much too bright outside when it was clear skies and resulted in a partial a white-out. But, since your lighting scheme sounds darker than mine, you might want to check out Aeterna. It might work nicely on your setup.
edit:
ok, I loaded up the mesh in nifscope and it seems that the crown uses a new base dds (circletstonescrystal.dds), but still uses the base game's circletstones_n normal map and stones_m texture (not sure what _m is - I'm a texture noob). Since I replaced the base game's gem textures with the high-rez ones from the Better Circlets mod, including the normal map and the ..._m dds, I'm guessing they're responsible for the increased detail, notwithstanding that the base dds is just the 256x256 from the DLC.
ah very cool, i really did not like the idea of having to wear a silly looking crown instead of a hood or helmet or such, thank you for adding this, makes it a whole lot more fun to pick and choose
Thanks for the reply, mine looks darker than yours now, though that might be the lightning ingame The gems on your pic seems a bit lighter and more detailed than mine, gonna have to check if it's my game settings causing it then ^^

Nice mod! I have a request, could you add an optional patch that will allow us to disenchant the crown so we can put it on other headgear?
Thanks!
