Hey. Love the idea for this mod, but could you make or do you know of a version of this mod that doesn't kill essential NPCs? I want this mod, but I don't want to break my game because Balgruff can be killed by a vampire or Lydia runs into my line of fire. Thanks!
This spell doesn´t work quite as well anymore, at first it killed everything (dragons, giants and spriggans) now it doesn´t even kill DB targets or bandits. Is this somehow caused by npc leveling up?
That server issue in the description has been solved for a while. So this is either a new issue, or it's something else. Are you downloading with the manager? If so, update it if you can. It had some technical problems a few days ago, mine wouldn't download mods either. I'd say keep trying, both with and without manager. Manual download of this mod should work fine, it did for me just a minute ago. Hope this helps
eh? Are you sure you did not use it on an essential npc? Because, if you really used my spell, that would not happen. It's like making a bycicle and you suddenly see your customer fly away on it. It is not supposed to happen. You did not build in any flying mechanism.
Similairly, I did not let this mod do any damage. Zip, zilch, zero damage. This spell simply has no value for damage. None whatsoever. The script effect now works on everything except essential npc's. Technically, this spell effect works exactly the same as the "kill" command in the console. Use it on an essential npc, and their health is merely reduced, and it will not reach 0. Nothing can cause an essential npc to die, except if you unflag them via console commands or if you put that line I provided in your Skyrim.ini file.
Now I'm curious to see what will happen if you open the console, click your mouse on the NPC you couldn't kill,. this should show a form ID in the top middle part of the console window, where nothing is typed. If you selected that NPC this way, you should type "kill" and press enter. This is how the kill command works. If my spell does not kill it, this should not work either. This would also probably mean the npc is essential.
Okay, i got the mod working but whenever i use it, it isnt an instakill, just does a small amount of damage and the player is still alive. any suggestions?
