Okay, since this mod seems long abandoned (author hasn't shown activity in over 2 years) and left with quite a few bugs, I'm going to download it and fire it up in the CK, see if I can work out the bugs and get it functioning properly. Part of the issue is it was made with a now very outdated build of Skyrim, and has to be brought up to date. Plus it sounds like he may have messed up a few refs that need to be tweaked for the quest to flow properly, so I'll see what I can do with this since a few people have expressed an interest in the hut due to its location.

Any progress on this? I loaded the old version, can't exit the hut once I enter. Unloaded the mod, still can't exit the hut. No idea how to reset my game. There simply is no option to open the door.
Found the note, put it in my inventory (I thought) but didn't show up. Talked to Rorik about the deaths but his lips moved silently. Unable to give him the note as it wasn't in inventory even though I "took" it.
No offer to let me purchase house. No quest listed in my journal. No way I can see to start the quest from the console, since no quest ID.
This should not be listed for download when it doesn't work or when there's no work around.

I'd actually really like this mod to be repaired. Maybe it's conflicting with Hearthfire or another addon, I don't know, but I'd like to buy this place off Rorik.
I chose the wood house, but approaching the house does not activate a quest, and I cannot find the note inside the house. Going to Rorik reveals no mention of their deaths nor buying the house.
