Alright im genuinely confused, i found a bow from this mod in my skyrim SE but the thing is i don't have this mod and this mod doesn't even exist in the SE version. So how did a bow from this mod end up in my skyrim?
The reason why i went on to investigate this is because i found shadowswift in a normal playthrough and i found that bow to be ridicilously overpowered compared to how short i've gone in my playthough ( lvl 7). I'm trying to go for a challenging playthrough.
Edit: Can't delete but i found that the "legendary skyrim crossbow" mod does add the bow from this mod.
I didn't know this mod, found out about it by the mod about improved crossbows ironically... very well done, my 2 preferred bows so far ar immaterious and spectre, I didn't see medusa and shadowswift yet though. Finally some real bows you can be proud of ! I'd just say that I think dragonslayer is not powerful enough for an "anti dragons" bow, in raw damage it is inferior to Immaterious, at least at my current smithing level, and it has a 40 damage against dragons, only I would add, alduin has 2500 base hp, so 40 hp is like nothing for him ! But anyway I'll take this bow with immaterious against alduin to see how it goes... Anyway congratulations for the mod, very well done, and very good choice of placements too !
edit : yeah I confirm, I got better results with immaterious against alduin than with "dragonslayer", what a pity !
Thank you for your kind words. I've long since stopped making mods for games and this was the first mod I really put any kind of thought or care towards. I'm glad you've enjoyed it :)
This mod works with SE here is how to get it working find a free program that will extract the bsa after that delete the bsa copy the esp, Texures and meshes to the Data folder and activate with in Skyrim then you will find these bows within Skyrim SE.
I would really love to! Sadly, I don't know anyone who can I've tried myself but had a bunch of issues considering i don't actually own the game on PC.
Hi, I've been unable to get any of the bows to read as Longbows or Shortbows for SkyRe perk purposes. Has anyone else solved this? I've tried overriding each of the bows in the stats.xml, but that doesn't seem to have worked.
I'm going to test this mod in my new load order using PerMa instead of SkyRe (still works more or less the same way) and I'll see if I have the same problem. If I do I'll see if I can override the XML myself and if I can't then I don't know what's wrong I might make a new release and rename each of the bows as a Longbow or Shortbow either with keyboards or in the names themselves and see if that makes a difference.
Well it seems I don't have a solution, either, unfortunately. I remember one version of SkyRe just assumed mod bows were longbows unless somehow specified otherwise but that no longer seems to be the case with PerMa at least. I wish I knew how to solve this.
It might be due to an error with another mod I have installed, but whenever I put them on a rack and come back, I find them on the ground. Any ideas why?
I'm fairly sure that's a vanila bug. I've had that happen with random weapons from time to time ever since I first played Skyrim back in December of '11.
I love the idea for this mod, I really do, and I'm downloading it, however I have but one quip. My only thing that bugs me is that while the bows are nice, they have no story. If they're really artifacts of an ancient past, they should have some kind of story, like the other artifacts in the game. Just a personal pet peeve from an immersion nut though, so don't take any offense from it
No offence taken I made this mod before I was an immersion junkie, myself, and I've never really come back to it. I may add something like that at some point in the future, but I'd have to take care that it doesn't conflict with any known/well-established Tamrielic lore.
You have to finish the Forbidden Legend quest to open the treasure room inside Reachwater Rock to find that bow.
But if you still can't find it, open the console and enter help "<name of the bow you want>" and it will give you the form ID. From there enter player.additem <formID> 1 and it will give you 1 of whatever bow you wanted.
I actually found the immaterious bow under water as soon as you enter reachwater rock, so perhaps you might get lucky and get it there rather than the treasure room xD update: Ended up with 2 xD One from underwater and one from treasure room. One of the best bows for landing a dragon early game since its poison works really well on them and doesnt require recharge
Love this mod and the bows, specially ShadowSwift, but since Shadowswift is based off of the nightingale bow it seems to share the bugged normal sound and manages to reveal my location everytime I shoot. I fixed this before by using Creation Kit to change Shadowswift's attack sound from normal to silent but now Creation Kit no longer works for me xP so I can't fix it myself I just wanted to let you know that that's a problem and I would love if it got fixed cause Shadowswift is almost the perfect bow for me. Great mod btw Thank you for making this, we need more bow mods on the nexus haha
At this point its unlikely. It started just as something I made for myself and decided to share it. At this point any bugs are beyond me because when I use it seems to work just fine.
Also the Creation Kit gives me headaches when I use it =/
