Not sure why people would say this is not lore friendly. Lets suppose that an adventurer (not you) cleans out a dungeon and finds or mines a few black soul gems, not knowing what they are, but they look like they should be worth something to someone, so he sells them to a merchant. Lets also suppose that this merchant also doesn't know or care what they are, but would buy them knowing that someone would eventually come along and buy them - possibly a jewelry merchant, a mage, or another adventurer. He doesn't know, he doesn't care, doesn't ask what he wants them for, all he cares about is making money. In this case, does buying or selling these gems really make the merchant evil? Especially now that you can mine black soul gems and regular soul gems in the same Geode Vein in Blackreach, and possibly other places. If you didn't read the manual and all the pages on the Internet or play any of the other Elder Scrolls games before this, would you know what they are for? That other adventurer probably didn't have access to the same info as you, so he may have no idea these things are "bad". If selling black soul gems makes merchants evil, then even selling regular soul gems also makes merchants evil since these gems also imprison the soul of a creature and don't let it go to where it's supposed to go after death. You recognize when a soul gem has a soul in it, but does the merchant know that, or even care? Maybe he just notices that it shines differently or weighs more, and it should sell for more.

I second that. I think it's simply an issue of supply and demand. I remember one of the merchants in Whiterun telling me all the time that he even would sell his sister, so why should he hesitate to trade in black soul gems? Alright, they're evil, I got that, but Skooma is evil too, and none of the merchants in Skyrim has a problem with that. I can run through the cities with a bunch of resurrected undead following me - isn't that evil too? And still that little annoying boy in Solitude tells me that I'm looking like some pansy and that his father could beat the s#*! out of me. Fortunately, I can kill children in my game. But damn, that is evil again. ;-)

I know this mod isn't lore-friendly, but still it's something I've been wishing for a while just for the sake of having an excuse to use my soul trap dagger. Hopefully there are more people that will enjoy it.

    Thank you for your comment.

XP well you do know the reason why mercant's dont sell black soul gems is coures they contain human souls and that these black soul gems can only be created by necromancers yes? (they are being seen as highly evil objects, only rough wizards would consider selling them XP)

still good mod of course, im just saying XP
