Honestly, this mod finally makes the Imperial Legionaires equal to Vanilla Stormcloaks, since their 2h Weapons always made sure they pwn'd everything. So I thank you for it, my favorite faction is no longer just fodder.
Edit: Wow...so I'm at level 25 and the Imperial's are still getting pwn'd by Vanilla Stormcloaks again lol.
Have to agree with most that vanilla arm,ors for the imperials was pretty weak, but also that you might have made them too overpowered. And thats the last thing we want (i want) owerpowerd imperials. ... Atleast you now have increased the stormcloaks too.
Activating the mod later is a pretty good idea I will try that later. I didnt critisize this mod but (!) the execution of what I thought you were trying to do (!), what this mod really does, it does perfectly.
P.S.: I thought balance and realism (not the stupid realism but in the sense that the worth of the armor makes sense and is resonable) was the sake of this mod, because of this part on the description: "I had to wonder why the Imperial Legion in Skyrim, which is clearly based on the ancient Roman army, was endowed with pretty low-quality weapons and armor. Considering how the Legion conquered all of Tamriel and fought off the Thalmor, I figured they needed quality weapons and armor to do so, and this mod aims to "correct" that oversight in-game."
Hello, sorry for taking so long to respond but here it is: this mod was not designed to "balance" gameplay. Imperial gear needed better stats, no question, but I decided to make it very fine armor and weaponry indeed because I like the realistic look of Imperial gear. As I was already at level 45ish when I made this mod balance was a not something I considered...an oversight, to be sure, but not one I really want to correct now because this mod was designed to cater to what I liked Also, the Skyforge is mystical, Daedric is mystical...you see where I'm going with this. Again, didn't think of balance when I designed this, and I like the realistic look of the steel weapons. If you are concerned about balance, deactivate this mod and then reactivate it once you've leveled up considerably in one-handed, two-handed, light and heavy armor And thank you for your feedback!
First off I really like the idea, but the execution is not so good. I fear that this mod will overpower the sets and take away the need to search better armor, thus making adventuring useless. I mean light version = glass? leather or a bit under elven ok but glass is too much, basicly Im saying that you would kinda break the game (a bit) with that. Sure the sets were unbelievably weak but come on ths is too much, but what really shocks me is that the Skyforge weapons have the same stats as Daedric, you get the skyforge weapons too soon making the game even easier and furthermore destroy the purpose of leveling up, adventuring, etc, after 10 minutes of the game you could pretty much end the game because you basicly won.
Can you this the same for the thalmor, because Light imperial and studded imperial armor are better then gilded elven armor. That doesn't seems realistic. However heavy imperial armor should be better then elven gilded armor, because steel is stronger then silver.
