Found the collector at Dragonreach, how do you trigger the quest? He just has basic vendor dialogue. I used an alternate start mod if that affects anything.

I was actually thinking about how simple and broken the Skyrim economy was the other day. Even with the excellent Economics of Skyrim mod, it's still very easy to amass a ton of loot and never really have to struggle to afford gear. I was actually wondering if it would be possible to add copper and silver coins to the economy without giant heaps of programming. Your mod looks very promising in the way that you did it, but I do see many things it would have to do in order to work, in my humble opinion.

    1) The copper coin would have to be the majority of loot coins found. Anything else would again make shambles of the somewhat, er, limited economic model that Skyrim uses.
    2) I would actually think that the exchange rate for coppers (copper coins) should be around 5 coppers to 1 IN (Imperial Note). This allows for items like apples and small vegetables to be bought for a single IN. Silver could be a 1-for-1 exchange. Gold perhaps a 1-for-5, or much more, depending on how rare gold coins are (maybe even 1 G for 50 IN).
    3) You're going to have to re-price (re-value) everything that can be bought and sold in game... and you're going to have to make it cost tons more. Why? Paper money has a perceived value. The "civilized" folks from Cyrodil who use the paper money normally would see no reason to doubt it's value. Nords are simpler and more down to earth. Metal money is something they can hold and weigh. Paper money is, well, something that milk-drinkers use. It has no heft, no staying power, and it suffers quickly under adverse effects (such as the normal environment of Skyrim). Thus, Skyrim Nords would want a ton of it in exchange for "real" money and hard goods because they wouldn't think it had any real value.

Then again, this could be another reason for Ulfric to rebel against the Empire. The devaluation of currency has always been an item for discontent amongst people. Devalue their money and you have devalued their worth and made it harder for them to survive. So, you've added another arrow to Ulfric's quiver. Well done!

Also, you could add (as an Imperial quest) people buying IN for dirt cheap in Skyrim and exchanging them in Cyrodil where the exchange rate is higher. The Imperials might want to stop that as it could eventually devalue the currency in Cyrodil. The possibilities are almost endless!

So, to me, this mod looks really promising. I can't wait to see it grow!

I'm having trouble with some of the copper septims. sometimes picking them up does not add any Denarii, is there a fix for this? or is there something I don't know about how this mod works?

Ah, downloaded and I'm enjoying this sought of currency. It gives the game a tad more realism. Endorsed, and keep up the good work.

Do remember- this may not have much people's interests, but it inspired a few to further enjoy their game. Many thanks.
