She was my first follower. That was many years ago! I accidentally just came across this mod again (I was searching for another thing) and it made me smile. I would like to thank you for all the good times! She was a great companionship!
Just droppin in to say how much I love Shelyn. I'ts not hard to add her as follower, swap her armor, and dismiss her. It works, and she still follows. She is the only Follower Mod that actually has a working healing script. In other words, all the other healing followers I've tried don't work. Thanks, and endorsed!
She is cute and useful, especially for characters that do not specialize in Resoration healing spells. My characters won't leave home without her at their side. She does not always do the healing after combat, but she usually does - even healing other followers (if they happen to be standing in front of her). I understand that her AI is way better than vanilla, and she mostly works as advertised. She sometimes gets stuck in sneak mode, but that is a vanilla bug that she shares with Serana and others. Thanks for your creation and for sharing it with us - endorsed!
Update: I discovered how to work around the vanilla sneak bug. I use UFO. Since Shelyn has custom AI, she follows and functions normally when she is not asked to follow. With UFO, if you ask her to "Follow me", she will then function as a follower under the UFO framework. If you dismiss her, she reverts to her custom AI but will actually keep following - she appears to be impossible to get rid of (stalker).
If she is in UFO follower mode, asking her to "Train some, you are weak" appears to reset her and she will break out of being stuck in sneak mode. Dismiss her, and she will resume being a follower under her custom AI (outside of UFO).In UFO follower mode, you can also ask her to trade items, etc. You just need to remember to dismiss her later; otherwise, she will not function under her custom AI and will not heal the character or other followers.
Update 2: Under UFO, if you want to leave her somewhere, just ask her to follow you, then order her to relax. She will remain where she was put and not continue to stalk you, but she does take up a follower slot (UFO is limited to 15 slots). At higher levels, she gets a Paralyze spell that is quite powerful on enemy bosses.
She's really helpful! but needs fixing sometimes when I'm sneaking she make disturbing and i really want change her equipment like her armor and weapons :/
