I'm guessing this was abandoned? It would have been such a nice mod though XD especially since my character is an alcoholic, and that feature hasn't been included yet. And I can't find any mods with an alcoholism feature at all...
Is there a way to ..kick the habit.. ? Perhaps after an excruciating withdrawl period. This mod is definitely good immersion but effect should not be permanent
I can imagine this changeing over time into something truly game enhancing, at the moment it would need a more comprehensive overhall of the AI to be really effective except as a cosmetic use, after all there is a reason why skooma is outlawed in the empire and skooma dealers are shady character's, I'd suggest enhancing the beneficial effects of the addictive potions and the difficult part will be getting the balance right so the addiction to availabillity to benefit three way triangle is worth the role players time, in the future you might consider adding some quest's and some custom (Scripted AI) characters who for example a thieves guild quest were you have to obain some item from an imperial agent but he/she is scripted so your sneak and pickpocket skills would fail no matter how high and detection an automatic fail, there one weakness an addiction to skooma and you sneaking a super skooma that will incapacitate them (kill them with a 1 day respawn) so as to be able to take there items and the item you are after undected by them and complete the quest by returning it to the client, eg a stormcloak or thalmor operative.
Good luck,
I notice you have no endorsemnts but because I think this will eventually become an integral part of something really good im going to download and endorse, keep up the good work and ignore any trolls after all we know what to do whith them in the elder scrolls universe don't we, Hmm troll fat mixed with wolfsbane and skooma.
By the way i think this is sensible for younger players as it demonstrate's that drug's and substance abuse have a long term negative effect, (Add a random toxic effect for that reaon that reduces hp by 50%- just came to me when i thought about the kids you know no parents care about the ratings on these games).
I'd like to suggest that too much drinking will make the character pass out, like in the real world, with low health and regeneration are slow. You need to sleep it off or need to cure it with some potions. Also you could get robbed while pass out in some tavern or house you staying, except inside the player's home. And also all npc's could get drunk and passed out, especially Followers. Imagined you get to your next quest and everyone is drunk.
If you have this (which is a fantastic idea, like chems in FO), maybe have a tonic that cures? Or like Fallout, have there be doctors somewhere that can remove the addiction? Or maybe Skyrim Rehab? Hi, I''m Belethor, and I'm an addict.
