Surprised this is still here. The answer to virtually every question asked in the last year...
1. It was created before the construction kit was available using some old raw editor with very limited capabilities. 2. I wanted to customize my Mage's appearance at the time.
It is not being worked on and not likely to be. There's got to be far superior crafting and Mage clothing options by now. The only way I would touch this is if when I start playing again soon I can't find what I want again.
Kind of exactly what I was looking for. I am very surprised that this mod doesn't have more exposure. Is the mod creator even active anymore? Either way, I have some suggestions I think would help improve this mod:
1) Make the original Archmage Robes exchangeable with Psiijic/Thalmor/Nightingale/Shrouded (with or without Hood) Many players - such as myself - don't want to feel too overpowered by having such robes without first completing the Winterhold quest line. After completing the quest, I feel a little unfair having to spend items on the creation of a new robe that will serve the exact same purpose (same enchantments) as the one I just received from the quest. I guess that would be the best addition for this mod. As for having the Archmage Robes a possibility as a normal craft (like they are right now) is something anyone can live with. This way, everyone is happy.
2) If possible, try to separate the enchanted Archmage Robes (all styles) from the rest of the crafts by adding them to a different type under Crafting. For example, at the moment they're all under Misc. By placing the enchanted version of the Robes under Robes and leaving the rest under Misc would certainly make everything much more tidy and neat.
3) Add the previews that are missing for some of the items. I don't know exactly which ones there are but I can check it and report back.
That's about it. I can't really think of anything else to make this mod any better. Hopefully you're still around and willing to do some improvement.
Just wanted to say your mod is awesome and one of my favorite and most recommended. I disagree with the commenter asking you to remove items such as unenchanted Thalmor robes. I love having every mage robe available for crafting. I had an Altmer character who wore Thalmor robes and it was useful to be able to craft them myself, so that I could enchant them as often as I wanted.
One request- I play a battlemage who wears heavy armor and will lose my armor rating perk if she doesn't wear a helmet. Is it possible to add Morokei as a helmet?
NEED HELP! Trying to craft the Archmage Thalmor Robe with leather strips, 2 grand souls gems (filled) and 5 greater soul gems (filled)....BUT, its not working. For some reason the 5 greater gems are grey in my crafting manu indicating that they are missing or insufficient, even though they are not ( i think). Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Could it be that the items scripted somehow? Do I need to finish the College Quest line and actually become archmage before i can craft it? Or do i need to be at a certain level? (Im lvl 17).
First of all, I would like to thank you for making such a great mod And I have to say it’s one of my favorites, that’s why I want to make some suggestions for it here
1.Focus the main purpose of this mod
I think this mod is about crafting anything related to arch mage so crafting unenchanted thalmor robes and etc. does not really looking good in this mod
2. Make this crafting as much unique as it can be
For example Instead of using misc. submenu make another menu and send those items there It’s far nicer and less confusing to use the mod with a separate forge menu
Try to find or make new textures for what they are missing for instance Morokei thalmor Hood doesn’t have inventory preview.
3. Some of those items are not what they have to be for example
+Thalmor hood (Morokei) should have 20% shout time reduction but it doesn’t +All of arch mage robes descriptions are different from the actual arch mage robe
4. Don’t you think your mod is ruining the fun of getting Arch mage Robe?
When I got this item in the college quest line I felt how precious the item is to Me because i tried so hard to make it through quest line to reach end of it and get Rewarded but with your mod no need to even join college if you want this item just Head to a forge with crafting requirements and done you have an Arch mage Robe
What you can do about this is to make a perquisite for crafting arch mage items For example:
+Completing Winter hold college main quest line to be able to craft this item +Get the actual arch mage robe +Get every magic skill at 60
Finally, thanks again for making this mod & reading my misspelled words and lots of grammatical problems I hope I was clear enough to tell you what i meant and I will be happy if you implement these suggestions
