The Reason there is no story behind it or whatever else everyone is moaning about is because this mod is no longer supported - it has been transferred to a different page (the one in the description ...) where can you can download the proper supported version.

Why does he not put a story behind this. I saw gameplay of this on the Shoddy Cast ESO Weekly and it looked cool and all but I didnt know what to do along with Jarl of Ivarstead. Please put a story, this mod has so much potential and could be as good or better as Moonpath to Eleyswer (how every its spelled). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, put a story into Jarl of Ivarstead

Ok I downloaded this mod and explored the city. its a big city that looks cool. I found a few cool things like an arena, house, catapults u can fire, a palace with followers, and a couple of merchants. Other than that, I didn't find much to do in the city. The guards don't speak to u. most of the villagers only say stuff like "Hmm" and I didn't find any quests or story. Let me know if I missed anything but it seems like the city is lacking a story and quests and incentive to be in the city. Why go there if there's nothing to do.

Since the title says you could become king, I was expecting a series of quests to become king and a way to rule your city. It would be cool if you could become an actual Jarl that other people recognize. It would be cool if you could hire guards and tell them what to do. Maybe, once you become Jarl, you could chose a side in the war and command your army in battle. Or maybe give the player the ability to do whatever with the city, like become an independent faction and invade the other holds and conquer skyrim. That would be a cool mod.

It would be nice to have someone ELSE to sell the potaoes and axes and what not. Too many times now, in the all-most-there-sold-everything, aaand then I have axidentially punched the guy who sells my stuf. And really, in the time you have sould about 2000 potatoes and axes and what-nots. It is just too slow. You reallu nead to kill the howl town, just to get some action. So I don't know, but a brice tac on it. someone who will sel the s#*! for you. you r a KING? anyways. Love the mod =)

I have to admit, this mod looks spectacular, but the location is what makes me want to steer completely away from it. As it is, there are already several abodes located near Riverwood, and the fact that your own essential player-owned "Hold" is kiddy-corner from Whiterun is a big deal-breaker. It makes it feel completely out of place, IMHO.

That being said, everything included looks phenomenal, and is something I would love to try out... If it were anywhere else in Skyrim besides next to a town or settlement.

I feel like this started out as a small personal project for yourself and escalated into what it is now, before you thought about changing the location.
