Honestly I have never tried using custom races with this mod, and it has been years since I worked on this so I cannot remember if I changed anything that would be affected by custom races, your best bet, if you really want to see, is to try running this mod with your custom race, and see what happens.
I'm getting the same thing; suddenly I'm takeing health damage in sunlight (when I didn't before) and shade offers no protection, I die in a couple seconds! It seems to start around 5 AM.
The 5th hour in the morning is bugged; it doesn't detect whether or not you are in shade and even if I go indoors I still take health damage until 6 AM, when I then have to go back outside and get the script to remove the health drain effect.
I believe the script simply runs at 6 AM, but you are penalized at 5 AM, leaving you vulnerable for an hour. Please fix this.
Also, are people supposed to attack you when you are at stage 4 of vampirism? Because some of them are doing that in my game.
is there a problem with the Potion of Blood ? because i drank it when i was a lvl 3 or 4 stage hungry vampire and my stage went to lvl 1, but i'm losing health, i'ts very weird
If possible you should add in a few features the other vampire mods have that would really add more to this mod.
Such as a animation to show you are burning in the sun: able to regen in shade or shadows even during day time (take no sun damage): able to turn other npcs into vampires such as companions: turn to ash when you die lol.
All these features are something I miss from the other vampire mods but don't get me wrong I enjoy your mod I just feel this would add that much more to it. Anyways enough of me blabbering, cheers!

Will download and endorse either way (still would like stage 4 reverted lol), kind of tired of all the immense overhauls of vampires. Your slight tweaks and additions are perfect =)
