Just a note about how you suggested the follower is found. The reference ID you quoted will be different for everyone, it depends on where the mod is in their load order (and possibly on other things too).
It would probably be better to place him in an Inn or other building to save problems.
Edit: Just read the description again and you have placed him in the world already. My mistake, sorry. However, the placeatme command will spawn a second copy of the follower. Using moveto player would move him instead.
