Some people feel that a huge player home is pretentious, I'm not one of them. The mod is incredible. I hardly believed that there would be a mod that would be larger than Deus Mons, but here it is. It is obvious that you have placed a great deal of thought into this mod and the floor plan.

There are so many good things about this player home it would take a few paragraphs to describe, so I will stick to the high points. The vault was extremely well done. Watching the stairs open up and going down them to the treasure room was incredible. The aesthetics of the room and the treasures within dropped my jaw.

Next is the tons of storage and displays. Not too many cases or mannequins, but enough to be impressive when used. Honestly, I could have a dozen followers and house them in this mod and would rarely see them all it is so large and that is part of the thrill of wandering a place like Solace.

As far as suggestions go, I only have two. First, it would be nice if the vault entrance could be reset so that you don't have to do gymnastics to leave it. Second, I would tack on a quest in order to get it. Something on the order of a plea for help followed by revenging some dark deed and the discovery of the key to Solace as a result along the way should do it.

I recall how I received Glenvar Castle in Oblivion (another player mod) and the contortions I had to go through to earn it and when I finally got the key to the place I really did feel like I earned the place. I think that Solace should be similar. It is big enough and nice enough that it deserves a quest to get it.

Well done and you have my endorsement as well.

      Hello Knight,
      Thank you so much.
I did plan to add a quest and much more to the mod, but alas, the work was lost to time.
      I appreciate your feedback!

I agree completely with knightnblu (2 or 3 posts below me). This mod cannot be summed up in just a few paragraphs. The scope of detail and obvious love poured into this mod by it's author attacks you from all sides, everywhere, the moment you enter the home. I'm a huge fan of home addons and I imagine a lot are. I make it a point to try all of them, but rarely do I move from what I think is the best. This one... Wow, it took the cake.

The scope is huge in comparison to most homes out there, even some that would be castles or mansion estates. But for it's size, everything is tastefully and sensibly placed, even in ways that would have never occurred to me before but made complete sense afterwards. There is a lot of functionality to this home. Many of the containers are named appropriately for their intended use. Various theme appropriate stones (Warrior, Mage, Lover, etc.) are located in areas appropriate to it's type. The list goes on. There is ample room in the home for multiple followers, and I might add that out of the entire tour of the home that I took, my followers consistently kept up, leaving it obvious to me this home is very follower navigation friendly. They even stayed out of the bathroom as I entered it, respecting privacy!

As others below have said, there is plenty of storage, mannequins, weapon racks, bookshelves, and just about everything else you could possibly want in a player home. Be warned that if you use interior lighting mods, it can be quite dark in places. Without the mods the lighting is more what you would expect and aesthetically pleasing. Also there are some doors that lead into other areas of home, keeping the performance hit to your system at an acceptable level.

I CANNOT stress enough to anyone reading this the importance of trying this mod out for yourself. If nothing else, let it serve as a refresher in just how grand player housing can be done by a clearly gifted author of his/her craft. As jaw dropping as this mod is, I hope the author will continue to build upon this mod as it has the potential to be one of the titans of player housing in Skyrim for the foreseeable future (if it hasn't already). My personal suggestions (and these are just my opinions mind you) are the following:

    1) More functionality for followers, such as role assignment in the home or dismissing them to (sensibly) roam the home freely, adding 'life' to this place. OR (probably easier) perhaps adding new NPCs altogether such as a cook, couple of servants or a butler, and definitely some sort of merchant considering how this mod is geographically located. And who knows who or what else! As huge as this home is, it feels lifeless.

    2) This ones strictly a personal thing that sells me on home mods. Sorters. Tastefully placed switches or items that automatically sort items from your inventory and put them into respective containers in the home. More convenience and less hassle for the busy Dovahkiin.

    3) I think the entrance location could be better, but that's just my opinion and those (opinions) will of course vary. I have used Kagrenac's Instant Fortress in the past, and enjoy it's 'Pack it up and go!' functionality. I don't know if it would be appropriate, but perhaps something like that could be considered for this home, allowing users to pick their own scenic location? And the convenience! Just a thought.

Alright, long enough, I'll shut up now. If you are reading this to see what others are saying about the mod or to consider if it's worth downloading and trying, then let everyone's words here speak for themselves. This mod is a marvel, and I cannot praise the author enough on his work done here. Endorsed, and VOTED. THANK YOU SoLoMaGiK!

Edit: Just a few more details.

Thank you so much for your kind words and suggestions!
I made a much more thorough mod with the same, but more detailed interior and an entire entrance made from the Akaviri stonework in Rorikstead. This improvement, however, had it's own 'Dragon Break' and was lost to time.
Once I rebuild another PC, I will recreate that masterpiece and publish it.
I love this community and am excited to be back soon!

Lighting problems fixed by reducing FGamma in skyrimprefs.ini
Default is 1.000, I changed it to 0.800 and it works perfectly.

Will try to find a temp fix to the vault which won't close.

Love this mod. Is there a key and how do you close the vault back up the round ball thing disappeared and now the vault is open except for the gate? Also, thought i would let you know you have some dirty edits in this mod that need to be cleaned with TES5. And is there anyway you could improve the lighting of the rooms.. some of them are sort of badlly lit.

I also like this player home quite a lot (even if I have issues to get into it, I get quite often inifite loading screens, but that problem should be on my end .. once I've entered successfully the interior, everythings fine). So, I figured out that this house doesn't seem to use an exterior LOD modell.
