I agree. This together with the No NPC Greetings mod has made my game considerably less annoying. The game is still mind-numbingly boring, but it was both boring and annoying with all of that incessant babble. I think Bethesda must have an employee dedicated to trying to figure out what features will annoy people most.

Xylozi, if you are still around, could you kindly informed me which files your mod made changes to? I can try to change them back manually, since I would REALLY hate to reinstall the game just to get my NPCs chatty again.

Okayyyy... Now the NPCs are just staring at me creepily after I JUST SLAYED A DRAGON AND saved Riverwood!!!! (well actually Lydia did most of the work but you get the point) Where are the "Well done!" "Wow I've never seen anything like this..." "You must be the dragon born" etc comments hmm?? I merely wanted the repetitive dialogue to be gone, but where are the NPC comments now that you really need them? And they're still not saying anything AFTER I disabled the mod (still staring). Such disappointment. And now I have to manually reverse the changed again? Gah, Just, DON'T INSTALL THIS, you know, in case you regret it later.

After 1106 hours of game time, and since the early start of the game, I have avoided getting close to NPCs when ever possible due to the insistent chatter that they do... I would of preferred one that unless I talk to them, or they actually had something important to say, to just not talk to me! In fact, I turned Whiterun into a ghost town just cause one NPC I stood next to for 5 minutes, while on the phone kept greeting me, when I wasn't even looking at it, and the others attacked cause I killed him, so I slaughtered everyone!

Then chose to look for "Don't talk unless spoken to" type mod, and believe this one would be my best choice, as I already have the Guard Overhaul mod, that improves on those chatter, at least no one is talking about my "stolen sweet roll"... LMAO

    So thank you very much...
Oh diziple, I am running Skyrim with all DLCs, it changes the command structure at the start of the game, so it should work with all mods, if you put it at least close to the bottom of the list, and under any that add more NPCs.

Edit: Quick install, and stood next to Sinmir in the tavern, on the saved game, just before going ballistic on the town, and now he hardly says a word... THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I searched on google for "skyrim less talkative" and what do you know!! HAha!

This is something that has annoyed me from probably my 4th hour in skyrim but I never thought about searching for a mod to fix this.

    Now for the big question...
Is this compatible with the latest version of skyrim and dragonborn?

Please say yes and you have hundred endorsments from me!

I wonder if you can disable auto talk,so that NPCs won't talk/interact with me unless i interact with them first..
