After an eternity away from Skyrim I'm now working on a new, slightly more ambitious mod that would obviate the need for this one. It uses a slightly different tactic to add the gourd as an ingredient which should greatly reduce any issues that people are having with this mod.
I use this mod but won't endorse because it affects the lighting and fog in most cells that it touches.
Due to its current BOSS load order, it overrides lighting mods and sets cells to vanilla settings (also overrules a couple of USP faction/ownership settings too).
Needs to be placed before Unofficial Patches in load order, or have all the unnecessary cell data removed.
I've updated the file so that all instances of the food item gourd have now been replaced with the ingredient gourd. The ingredient version has now been renamed gourd (previously was prepared gourd). For those of you with Dragonborn, I also now have a similar mod - Ash Yams as Ingredients. Please let me know if you have any issues.
