Thank you ever so much! I hate those quests making me kill giants. They are peaceful. Those travellers who suffered from giants - well, who made them come to the giant's camp? Just don't come close to camp.
Look at this. Making people want to rise up and kill Jarls over silly giants. I never liked the giants personally; im just walking along minding my own business through the fields and heaven forbid I walk too close to the big smelly mammoth and next thing I know a giant has sent me flying through the atmosphere with one hammer smash. While the idea is cool im going to continue my murder spree. Next thing you know people will be trying to truce with the falmer, skipping rope with the spriggans and baking pies for the dremora. I will not have meh skyrim turn into Animal Crossing!
Actually in Daggerfall One could truce with all those creatures apart from falmers, and many more. The higher Your skill in their respective language the higher chance they wont attack You. I really wish someone would reinstate this system in Skyrim. Alas this is probably the closest it will get...
I wish you could do the same for dragons. I love dragons and have played Skyrim since release without ever talking to Balgruf. Just don't want to kill them. A wrestling match would be nice though, even if it does involve fireballs and swords.
Nice; I admit I felt a bit bad about having to kill a giant to get Heljarchen, on the other hand it's also obvious that the jarl of the Pale is kind of a huge dick. I'm not sure if Brina gives these sorts of missions, though, since I've never gone that far in the civil war questline (like, not far enough to change any jarl at all), but it also would make no sense for her to give these since giants are under imperial protection.
Hmmm...spriggan jumprope? Naw...maybe we could prune them and make them followers! Yea, yea..and then we could bring them along to the Dremora bake sale...ok, nm...that is going too far!
