Works as advertised. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't have an option to kill itself after it does its thing, which is useful to those of us who don't care for the shortcuts/are proficient with the console and only use it for the fake fullscreen.
Fortunately, I have a workaround made up for myself and other people like me who are too lazy to kill the fix after each play:
Get Nircmd (go google it) and put nircmd.exe into the same folder as the game and fullscreen fix. Rename the fullscreen fix file to "fs.exe" without the quotes, for simplicity's sake. Create a text file, paste the following into it: (edit: changed this slightly after posting, since the old version kept eating my taskbar. this seems to work better)
Save the text file, then rename it to TESV.bat. Or whatever name you prefer. Run it. The fullscreen fix runs, the game runs, once the game finishes running (crash or exit) nircmd kills the fix. If you want, you can set NMM to run the batch file instead of the game executable; it's in Options>Skyrim>Launch Command>enter "TESV.bat" in the Command box. Then in the main window, press the little arrow next to the Launch Skyrim button, and click Launch Custom Skyrim.
Also, I'm a bit late to the party, but as for how fake fullscreen is done: it's probably an AutoIt script that removes the window borders and centers the game window, compiled into an executable. That's how people generally do it.
so even without the console I still need to run this in window mode? I have been wanting this fix for the double tab to get back into skyrim after alt tab.
How would I go about uninstalling this, I cant tell what files belong to it. Before you ask, I uninstalled the file on nexus mod manager but it still shows the bar when i launch the game . A list of all files added would be appreciated so I can manually remove them.
*Edit* Never-mind, for some reason it went away. Don't ask me how, after all I'm one of those folk who still believe computers run on magic.
I'm a little confused here , I always have a full screen naturally , and iv'e gone into console and given my character 100,000 500,000 and even 1, 000 000 gold , 500 to 1000 lock pics , 3000 and 5000 carry weight . I must have a different system .
