This is little bit OT, but can u made easy mod, where we can (as a werewolfs) just howl, please? Nothing more, but only one button for howling (i have on howling/shout button ,,calling the pack'', so its little wierd :-( ).
So, I'm a full year late to this party, but I was looking for a ctrl key toggle for werewolves as well, couldn't find it, and finally decided to make one myself. Here it is, if you guys are still interested.
Noticed the same issue as some of you are presenting here regarding the fact that Night Eye start when you transform (which is incredibly annoying). However, I have no idea how to fix this. I suspect you would need to make a script to exclude it from the transformation but I can't script. It's the same issue regarding the howling when you hold the button and binding nighteye to ctrl. A scrpit is needed (as far as I can tell) and I can't make one. Sorry.
Regarding SomethingCrazys issue where nighteye is active when you shift form, hadn't even considered this an issue before you mentioned it since I have disabled the transformation restriction. Also I'm using a mod which adds Nighteye for werewolfs even when in human form, so I just turn it off that way. And sorry to say, to remove Nighteye upon transformation you would have to be able to make a script or a spell designed to remove the nighteye without adding it if not already present, which I have no clue how to do.
I am sorry I cannot be of more help but I do appreciate all the feedback I'm getting! I am trying to find a solution but it's not going so good. If anyone wants to make the changes purposed by the below comments you are free to do so as long as appropriate credits are given and the mod is linked to me.
You said you are using a mod that adds Night Eye to werewolves in their human form as well? Could you post a link to it? I've been looking for one like that for ages. Thanks.
Really love this so far. Makes the werewolves a much more fun creature/race to be. Having a couple of problems though after playing around. 1: If my transformation ends with nighteye on, it stays on til I transform again and turn it off (Really blinding during the day.) 2: Not really a problem but just agreeing with everyone else here. You should map it to the Ctrl key or make the "second howl" not a howl, just a toggle. Also having it not start at the beginning would be great (My earlier point about it being blinding during the day is still valid here.)
This is great, but I got one problem. Even if I hold down the howl button, it still howls as well as enables the night eye. Can you do it so that when I hold the button, it simply enables/disables without the howl? If I tap it should howl, if I hold it should enable/disable. Better yet, yeah map it to CTRL. Awesome apart from that little problem! Also, would be real nice if the Nighteye is NOT enabled from the start but that you have to turn it on yourself
hey i have been looking for something like this since I got dawnguard but nothing is quite what im looking for.your mod here is the closest but I have a small suggestion that would make it even less obtrusive and more natural to gameplay.

the werewolf does not use this key and I don't want to worry about the howls.
the vamp lord uses ctrl to change modes from melee to ranged but the werewolf uses it for nothing.
just a simple elegant toggle nighteye on the ctrl key!
Oh this sounds cool, I'm going to download this right now and try it out. I hope you're going to make a version that has the Aura Whisper effect as well as the night vision toggle because that would be just too awesome
Updated the howls to have the Toggable nighteye effect made by weich. Now you hold down your howl button to enable or turn off the nighteye. Tap to use your fear/detectlife or summon howl.
Endorsing, love the idea... One thing though, could you make an (optional) file that makes the night eye effect a toggle? I use a werewolf mod that makes me transform on certain nights, and it lasts 12 in-game hours, so re-using the howl over and over again gets a bit tedious (since I need it just to see where I'm going) or maybe just increase the duration for said optional file? Either way, thanks for the mod, Arke91!
