SJW Mod! lol! Only reason I was even looking for any Brynjolf mods was to fix the bug where he goes "Hmmm.."" after the first quest and everyone in the thieves guild turns hostile on you when you go in there. Wasn't looking for mods making the game PC. lol! (and I have friends of race so I'm not racist). It would have made more sense to do it with a redguard character, not someone who's clearly a Nord.
I understand where you're coming from, but here's where the mod falls flat in my opinion: Brynjolf is a very clearly Nordic name, in fact it's a real world Nordic name, and a Redguard with a Scandinavian name just seems out of place, much like if you had a Nordic character named Abdul, it just clashes. On top of that, if you'd look up what his voice actor looks like, you'd see that it's pretty obvious that Brynjolf's looks were based on his voice actor's looks. I dunno, personally I think it would seem more appropriate to change Vex into a Redguard if you absolutely feel the need to change anyone's race since her name is sort of more ambiguous and it therefore doesn't seem out of place.
I get where you're coming from about there not being many black people, but this is based off of a race dynamic that in this specific area of Tamriel, there aren't many redguards. Which in TES, is the only dark skinned race. Ethnicity in this game isn't based on OUR WORLD, so therefore, our rules don't apply. But excuse me while I contradict myself a bit, a black man with an irish accent? tsk tsk
Now I think its even more racist, because you tried to cover up the first racism by changing the original racist changes you made and thereby re-removing the only Redguard Thieves Guild member.
