How does this mod work? I have it installed but when I go to an enchant table with the amulets I still can't disenchant them. So what does it take to make this work? Thanks.

Works. 1 useful thing I found out: If you take the Amulet of Talos from Roggvir (the guy who gets executed in Solitude the first time you enter the town), ALL Amulets of Talos in your inventory will become questitems and therefore disenchanting them will never be possible. So to disenchant an Amulet of Talos it will be necessary to pick it from someone/somwhere else, e.g. any stormcloak units.
May the bless of Mara be with you, my children.

I was hoping I could disenchant an Amulet of Talos and add the shout cooldown reduction to all my accessories, but its unclear whether or not the %20 reduction in cooldown time will stack (IE- .20 x 5 = 1.00) or if the author's tweak makes the enchantment a consistent %20, regardless of how many items the enchantment is placed upon (IE- .20 x 5 = .20).

Nevertheless, if a player feels no shame over using the console... this console command nullifies the issue completely:

    player.setav shoutrecoverymult 0

If using the prefix "setav" doesn't make a permanent change, you can also use "forceav" as a prefix for the command.

    Happy Shouting, my friends!

I'm not sure if the enchantment stacks either, come to think of it. I've never tried. But yeah, you could certainly just apply the mod in the console.

AFAIK it won't stack with another amulet of Talos, but will stack with the shrine blessing. If you have the Better Divine Blessings mod, it will also stack with other amulets that lower shout cooldown, and with a non-Talos cloak from Divine Cloaks if you're using that (Better Divine Blessings affects the cloaks' enchantments).

So assuming you have Better Divine Blessings, you could do a blessing of Talos/Kynareth/Akatosh from a shrine, and one enchantment or amulet of each, and have them all stack.

EDIT to add: This is basically what I'm doing so far - Talos/Talos shrine/amulet, with a kynareth blessing on the cloak - and my Fus is on a 6 second cooldown.

To take this conversation even further- I've made a mod request that touches on the subject a bit:

      https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6159573-progressive-thuum-proficiency/

Granted, it hasn't received much attention. But I think its still worth mentioning.

Tested it, it works perfectly on Skyrim SE. Just download the archive and unpack it through NMM

Awesome! I'll re-pack/re-upload it to the Skyrim SE Nexus when I get time.
Edit: Tested and uploaded to the Skyrim SE Nexus.

There is no mod like this available for Skyrim special edition on Xbox one. If you were to find a way to get this mod over there, with the amulet of talos and all thats you would make sooooo many people happy. I might even donate 60$ to see that.

Remove this mod... there's so much better out there! You haven't updated since 2012, so it's become clutter! REMOVE!!!!!

Skyrim hasn't been updated in a few years either, and people are focusing on modding Skyrim SE now anyway. This was always intended to be a simple mod, and it does what I wanted it to do. What's the issue?

Do we have to download this mod with Talos fix?

Something odd has happened, while I haven't downloaded the other version, I am currently not able to get the 100% cooldown any more, just 5%. At best I can think that it conflicts with the Deadly Verbal Debate mod which adds 5% cooldown on each Speechcraft perk.

Unfortunately, no. Far as I can tell, the only way of doing that would be to modify the game's source code, which only Bethesda can do. There's no way of accessing the scaling formula otherwise. And since the enchantment wasn't intended to be playable, it has a really dodgy scaling formula by default (see my previous posts or the description for details).
What I did in this version is simply made it a fixed 20% for every enchantment. That way it's still mildly useful, but not game-breaking. Just don't bother wasting grand soul gems when creating the enchantment, because petty ones will work just as well.
