Warning if you intend to clean this mod with tes5edit - be cautious. Cleaning the mod gave me instant CTD upon entering Markarth, I tracked it down to cleaning the mod. Reinstalling the 'dirty' mod fixed the CTD
so clean it with TESEdit. It only takes a minute or so to fix you know. And for the record: I'm STILL using this terrific mod in my game with ZERO issues.
I recently added an HF friendly version of Vlindrel Hall with 6 kids (multiple adoptions mod), CoT, RLO (for building interiors only), Frostfall, Populated Cities, Enhanced Fog, and some 245 mods (most of which are environmentally texture/performance related) in my mod deck. So the city interior of this mod is greatly affected by some 80% of my mod deck to date.
Basically, Markath is heavily modded city with this mod make over. Yet this mod has played very nicely with all my updated mods, the game updates and unofficial patches to date. Again with zero issues.
If you wish to use this mod, then be proactive enough to do what it takes (which is NOT a lot) to clean the dirty edits in this mod. Seriously people. As I've indicated above, installing TESEdit & cleaning the mod should take between 5-10 mins at most.
Using TESEdit is good practice btw, if only to keep your mod deck maintained. But basically, if you can't be bothered to go the extra leg to do this, then don't download.
I am using all of your mods because you do such great work on them and they do share a feel which makes the game seem much more natural and much more enjoyable. That being said I have to say on Markarth you have some deal breakers like the trees against the defensive positions. I am still going to use the mod but I will be using the console to disable all of the trees that allow for bypassing the city defenses. I am sure it will look great after that and I suggest everyone else does the same. Please keep up the great work and keep making improvements. Thank you very much for all of the mods you have been kind enough to provide for us all.
Could you talk about cleaning this mod? Is it safe? when I do clean this mod with tes5edit it removes 37 records for being identicle to masters and undeletes 28 records that should have been disabled according to tes5edit. thank you.
There wouldn't be a chance of you adding more buildings and people to the lovely but sparsely populated city, would there? I'd absolutely love seeing more than just two miners and a handful of merchants. Maybe making some of those ruins functional, or slipping another mine in, hm? Seems no one ever takes the time to really enhance Markarth, which is a real shame. I imagine it's rather difficult though, what with the layout and all.
The mod looks amazing. Wish there was a way to use it with the Vlindrel Hall Elevated Patio mod though, currently I have a tree passing right through the middle of the patio.
Open up the console(~), Click on the tree and type disable. Bye bye tree. Also if you accidentally made something else go away type enable to bring it back.
i been using this mod for a few months already and still using it. the only bug it has is there are dead hawks on the ground. one on the 2nd level near player home and the other right beside the smelter.
the hawks do not disappear and respawn on the ground whenever i enter markarth.

other than that, it's really good.
novadove: This is true and very weird for that matter, but not game breaking in any way.
It's a very good mod, the best in my opinion for Markarth.
