For those wondering, this mod is piss easy to convert to SSE. Just re-save in the CK. Even better, if you don't want to mess with the CK, all it does is edit two records, which can EASILY be done with xEdit. In otherwords, if you're on SSE like me, you can recreate this mod. See the pic below:
This is one of those things that has always boggled my mind about the vanilla game. Heavy armor bandits tend to have helmets, but not light armor bandits. What makes it boggling is because almost all bandits have the perk Custom Fit, the light armor version that grants 25% armor rating when wearing 4 pieces of light armor. Not sure why Beth nor the USSEP has never addressed this.
Another thing worth mentioning is that heavy armor bandits have the WRONG 4-piece perk. Check the wiki and it's the same with in xEdit: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Bandit
Heavy armored bandits have Custom Fit (Light) when they should have Well Fitted (Heavy). Probably gonna fix that myself, as well.
Tried this mod out as I did notice that Bandits ONLY ever had Heavy helms if they were a heavy armour bandit and that's only on the tougher bandits. Now the bandits who ware light armour finally have the chance to drop some light helms. The unofficial patches never touched on this as I already have USLEEP and bandits never dropped light helms with that. Endorsed!
This mod is pretty old. Has any of this been integrated in another mod since, like USKP or something? Because I sure as hell find helmets on bandits I meet. Rather often, too. I wonder why...
Any reasonable person wouldn't argue with Bandit's having less protection but in all honesty, if they're clever enough to ambush you then they should be clever enough to put a hat on in Skyrim

Endorsed four years ago. Not played skyrim for three years, will start with special edition after finishing fallout 4.

Looks real cute, too. Like a fuzzy carnival wig.
Works properly. Very basic mod but fixes a real goofy issue.
