forgive me for being a dummy, i read through all the posts and my reading comprehension is probably just failing me, BUT are we supposed to copy the hairline06 file from FALLOUT and rename it/move it to the skyrim hair list? Having a dickens of a time. I use apachi hair if that makes any difference

      Sorry for the late reply.
Don't copy anything over from fallout, we are purely talking Skyrim here. Fallout Mod manager is just excellent tool for BSA Archive browsing

If you dont have that file path you'll have to create it.
Create the folder structure as posted and drop the files from the archives in there after renaming them.
Skyrim will priorize that over the archives.

So I've done just as the instructions said...and it did stop the helmet clipping...but it seems as if the hairline in front has receeded into my forehead.

Can you upload a picture or something?
Please also double check what you did to see if you really used the correct files.

I am pumped that you have taken the time to layout this fix. If at all possible do you know what files to alter, or how I can go about fixing my beard from clipping through my ancient nord helm. I enjoy the largest and most full vanilla beard but it just shoots through the front of my helm.... truly a sad sight.

The beard problem is probably not fixable.
Hair are made to disappear when adding a helmet, only leaving the hairline mesh that sticks out from under the helmet.
Beards don't disappear with helmets that are "open-faced".
All I can offer you is this awesome beard mod by lthot: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28363/?

made sure to download so I could endorse. Was a great help to a character I was making who wouldn't have looked right without this hairstyle.
    Thanks

I did exactly as you said...and I double (more than double) checked, but it's exactly the same as before.

Retry and triple check then, because It does work, otherwise we'd have more people complain here.
All I can do is to advise you to stick to my guide, since i must not upload the fix.

Worked like a charm, thank you SO much for this, you have no idea how much it drove me crazy not being able to use this hair (my favorite) because of the clipping.

I can't download FOMM because I don't have Fallout, and I can't download the Skyrim BSA mod from Nexus because it says I don't have the linked helper application - even though I have Nexus Mod Manager.
Help me out, going diretly into the Skyrim folder yields no Male Hair package either under Meshes.
You do not need Fallout in order to install FOMM.
Of course you wont find the Male Hair under Meshes since it is in the Archive.

Why would you not be aloud to upload it........?

Because I am not allowed to re-upload files owned by bethesda.
