As far as I am concerned, these are the best steel textures out there. There's another mod but I won't say the name because I love most of their textures but they also seem to have a thing for making everything blackish.

Excellent work, though it is a little bright and does seem a little too clean. Endorsed sir!

Now that's some great looking steel armor! The best on the Nexus imho.

Very good job. I really like the way the Steel Armor seems to pop right out on my screen. Endorsed.

I think if you renamed it "White Steel" it would be more appropriate than "Better Steel." The quality is higher, sure, but it is also totally different from the original, and therefore not an "improvement" but a replacement. It looks nice for what it is, if you do a high quality upgrade of the actual in game steel armor (so it retains it's feel while improving it) please shoot me a message!

The problem with the vanilla armor and a lot of the redesigns (including this one) is that it looks more like ceramic than steel. Steel would have much less of a dull white appearance and a much more intense shine in sunlight. Right now it just looks like bolted on plates of ceramic or brushed stone.

I realize a really realistic steel texture is difficult (vanilla skyrim fails exceptionally hard at it) but I don't see progress here as much as the enhanced texture clarity makes it even more apparent that the texture itself just doesn't look metallic.

Oddly, the ebony armor looks more like steel than the steel in the game does.
