Is it possible to get a decent framerate with these kinds of mods (ENB) vs. non-enb? with no modifications to the game whatsoever, I ran vanilla Skyrim through the opening sequence, at high quality settings I never dropped below 25 fps, but hovered around 28-29. with only following the installation instructions for ENB (.112 is the only one I can find with kage on his site, .111 doesn't seem to even exist), the Realistic Lighting w/ Customization mod, and then your Real Natural mod, it drops down to 7-8 frames per second. ENB, at this rate, is completely unacceptable, and unplayable to me.
If anyone's interested, my system is: Toshiba P755-S5269 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Intel Core i7 - 2360QM Nvidia GT540M w/1GB discrete memory 6GB DDR3 memory
The system is, effectively, the specs right out of the box. Though not a gaming laptop it has served me well, with tweaks, giving me upwards of 40-45 fps in Skyrim through most of the game. I just cannot, to save my life, install ENB without it coming grinding to a halt.
oh s#*! thank you for pointing that out, was using his mod beforehand and didn't realize that the RLWC settings were his, just assumed they were the default ones or something. wasn't sure about the enbeffectprepass file, but thanks for pointing that out too I'll chuck that up in the credits thing
of course, by the next revision i'll be using my own customized RLWC settings, so hopefully this shouldn't be too big of an issue
I don't mean to be a bother, but I noticed a couple of issues with your mod that need attention.
The RLWC settings that you're using are from Sharpshooter8's mod, but I didn't see anywhere that you got his permission or at least mentioned his name somewhere in the credits. Also, the enbeffectprepass.fx file that you're using is from Matso, and there's no mentioning of permissions/credits either. Good job on not posting the ENB binaries, so far everything else looks good!
