First of all, it's a great mod. I'm using and greatly improved the dynamics of the game sound. But I notice that moddlers and players generally like to play with a cute girl dressed as a prostitute. Why ? Does anyone have the answer for this .. Player Fetish? My character is always an ugly brute. I can't make a female character ... even more dressed as a wh*%# ... Goes completely against the principles of the game .. I think.
That excuse is so poor because you can literally look at any part of the screen that isn't a dudes ass. I play male/female characters that I draw from short stories I've written, and not once has my dudes "ass" bothered me. When it's far less likely to be exposed vs. female armor/outfits. You just need to justify undressing Barbie dolls.
I always play as male characters, but I never understood why so many people get bothered by this, like... just don't play as an anime girl and let other people play the way they want then? It's really simple. The beauty of RPGs, specially modded is that you can play how the hell you want and tailor the game to your likings
Unfortunately I don't own the Special Edition, and I can't really confirm its effectiveness because of that. As soon as I get my hands on a copy, I'll try and get this ported over.
I love the sound in caves, but in addition to the overly echoey interiors, I'm getting wind sounds inside my Hearthfire home. This mod hurts immersion for me more than it helps it, unfortunately.
I'm getting wind sounds as well, shortly after installing this mod (I have no other sound altering mods that I know of). Even when I disable it, the sounds are still there.
Fantastic mod! I'd always been bothered when entering massive caves or castles, and only hearing reverberations as if I were in a smaller burrow or room. But I never thought to look for a mod until recently, and found this little gem. Thankyou
NOTE: I've noticed that this mod runs in all interiors (even ones as small as the abandoned shack) and only interiors. This is fine by me - as it's still realistic. But would it possible to have this mod set to run in certain cells? I wouldn't expect you to do all of Skyrim or something crazy like that. But if it were possible to have this mod run in just Blackreach (which is an exterior cell with no reverb in vanilla) that would be Awesome!
This is a reply to an old post but I just wanted to say that the difference is substantial; the Jarl of Whiterun sounds as if he's talking in a stone hall as opposed to a padded room when this mod is installed. This (at least the older version without the toned-down effect) makes a striking difference in audio quality so if someone isn't detecting a difference then something probably went wrong in the install or that player's game has some really different settings.
ISC not sure, don't know if the .esp tweaks reverb, pretty sure it doesn't. AOS2 probably as it's a sound propagation and sound replacer mod. Gonna give this a try though because AOS2's reverb is even after the included patch just not realistic.
