I patched this into Guards Armor replacer, and it was a PITA to get working.  Had to dig waaaay deep into the game records and cost me more skooma than you know. The sadist within me reckons SSE needs the same treatment. Wish me luck bois, Im going in!

Thank you so much for this mod. Good way to remember oneself that guards are people too.

Awesome mod! Now the guards aren't just faceless demons that keep trying to arrest me!

This is one of my many essential mods. I use it every playthrough. I'm hopeful that I'll see it on Skyrim: Special Edition at some point!

This works beautifully simple. And it really does change the whole vibe of the towns and villages. Really great and imho a must-have mod for the experience.

If you are using Weapons & Armor Fixes Remade, you might want to forward some of the changes across in TES5Edit. Perhaps the Author could release a version with the changes integrated. Since the esp only has a small number of records, a compatability patch would be a pointless waste of a precious esp slot.

This mod hasn't been updated since 2012, it's very likely that it won't work with latest update, and dlc.

This is updated: "Improved Close Faced Helmets" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15927/?

There is also a compatibility patch for that mod on the Weapons Armor and Fixes page.

I havent tried the mod yet, just for the reason Im posting, so Im not sure if this effects all guards or if its random, Im asuuming its all since it overwrites, but then I know very little about modding, other than installing them.

Just a quick question/suggestion. I like the idea of open faced helmets and I like the way your helmets look, I also like the "Open Faced Guard Helmets" mod by Shingouki, and I wouldnt mind having a few guards with full helmets. So the question/suggestion is... is their any way that the mods can be merged or maybe make them random so the guards can have helmets from "Open Faced Guard Helmets", "Friendly Guard Helmets" and the vanilla helmets. I kind of like the diversity instead of all the guards in Skyrim only wearing 1 type of helmet.

Putting the mod at the bottom of my load order has helped.
