Hey guys, sorry for going MIA for so long. Needless to say, life has been going a bit tough for me. Anyway, I do plan on going ahead and providing updates as well as any fixes that I can.
As far as Spellbreaker goes: I currently can't do much. As brokenmirror1 said, the script used to give spellbreaker it's enchantment only functions under certain conditions, and because of this, disenchanting the item and reapplying the enchantment creates a glitch where the enchantment is constantly active. Although I'm sure that there are some people that actually WANT this effect, I'll look into getting this handled, just as soon as I can.
Regarding Wabbajack: This is also a special case, similar to that of Spellbreaker. As I'm sure you all know, because of the way that Bethesda coded the game, vanilla Skyrim doesn't allow for the disenchanting of staves. Again, I'll certainly look into it, and do what I can to fix it, once I get everything going again.
Thanks for the support, and look out for new updates to come! --Fish
I don`t know how much you feel like putting in to this mod or how much you`ve gotten in to them - but I thought I might put out an idea. Since just 'destroying' a daedric artifact feels a little concerning, not to mention could directly harm its particular deity- I thought it might be more comforting to just 'reform' the artifact. Maybe something like having the materials of the armor or weapon you want the enchantment on, use maybe a new altar or something existing + a daedra heart and maybe an item related to the prince and you more directly attach the daedric enchantment straight to its new item. I suppose it would feel a tad more elaborate then regular enchanting, but it just seems more rational for something that in game would probably be impossible.
If you have the Immersive Weapons mod and the right smithing perks you can craft copies of any daedric artifacts you own. I recommend doing this and disenchanting the copy. That way your not offending the daedric powers
actually you're wrong. that mod simply has a check box in its setting that gives an option for you to craft every daedric weapon ingame, it does NOT however require you to have said artifact with you, so by having that box checked you are just giving yourself a massive spoiler to all of the deadric artifact.
Hi, just disenchanted the ebony mail and went to apply it to armor (tried a few) but the enchantment 'botheias embrace' is dull/un-highlighted in the enchantments list as-if it cannot be applied, any help please?
Seems like it's the same with the Dragon Priest enchantments. You can disenchant but not use it. And to FishAssassin- thanks for the work so far. For now I've only been able to use the Daedric weapon enchantments, and not the armor ones so... idk.
Just checked it out, and it worked fine for me. That said, the tester character I'm using for this mod has full enchanting perks and is using full grand soul gems. I'm gunna check if there is a way that i can lower the requirements needed to use the enchantment, as i think that would fix the issue. THAT SAID, i still have to look at how that system is set up
EDIT-- i just successfully enchanted a dragonplate armor with the enchantment using a grand soul and a level 1 (level 10 enchanting, no perks) character. from what i've read, the enchantment only has a magnitude of 10, meaning that any character with 10 enchanting, no perks, and a grand soul should be able to use it.
If someone wants a Disenchantable spellbreaker, they need to write their own script for it. Spellbreakers script does not work thru enchanting tables (stupid Bethesda)
Cant figure it out sadly, no spellbreaker till either I find my bug or this mod fixes ..whatever is broken (prolly me) .was attempting to have an invisible shield with the enchant... sorta energy/magic shield like but I can wait and try out the other daedric stuff!
