A nice way to beef this up is open the original texture and copy it to a layer over the top of this. Then adjust the transparency of the layer to make it look a little used and dirty. If you have a program that handles layers well it should be less than 5mins work.
At a guess I am thinking the original texture at about 5-10% transparency over this will make a big change. You have a nice neat base to build on btw ;-)
Looks too blank and clean to fit in with Skyrim, plus it looks like hardly any effort went into it compared to all of the other mods I've seen. Like that other guy said, "paintbucketing".
@lindn OMG look at these animals. there are more and more of them every day. searching for mods but dont get enough even if all vanilla files will be changed. didnt create a thing but already complayning and trolling. isnt there enough space in internet for everyone and everything?

Haters gonna hate.
Retexturing is pretty much the only thing people can do at the moment since there's no Creation Kit out. So shut your mouth and stop complaining.

this takes literally half a second to do with 0 effort put into it.
Can you do this for the 3rd special set of Brotherhood armor?
