I just found this this past week. I noticed it hasn't been touched for ages. Don't give up on this project. I am totally loving a light female elf style character in ebony mail. Thank you for your work.
Could you perhaps include another ESP where you only need 100 smithing to smith the various things? 'Cause I don't want to waste 5+ levels going through all the heavy armor skills just to forge a sword, or to forge light ebony armor. Almost no light armor looks good, but I digress.
I'm sure you could come up with some other smithing requirement to make this balanced, but this seriously annoys me in Skyrim lol.
When you hopefully return to this mod, can you take a look at Faction armor requirements that are in "Complete Crafting Overhaul" by headbomb? It'd be great to stick any faction armor you create with the same quest requirements, as an optional file.
Endorsed. Thank you so much for this! I love the apprentice robes and kept looking for some way to give them an armor bonus, because I just didn't like the way any of the armors looked but was getting sick of taking so much damage Also, I'm strangely addicted to smithing, and this just gives me more options to play with. Yay!
Awesome I love the Apprentice Robes. But could never find the robes unenchanted, only the hood. Not only can I now craft all 3 of the robes but all unenchanted AND as Leather armor, You Sir are Awesome!
Very good idea! I personally like steel armor (with or without shoulder pads, my taste varies) but as leveling goes on it gets... outdated... as others have said.
would this mod have issues with others that replace the original meshes? ie. the mod that turns DB armor into a "ranger" looking armor? this one particularily http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4632

And I second the steel armor with daedric stats idea. I like the look of steel, it's just outclassed so early in the game.
