maybe have it so when you offer to marry her she says but wait i cant unless you adopt my kid aswell then have to go and offer to adopt the kid and maybe have the kid follow you back to carlotta and carlotta gives the final ok
Sometimes a new game is needed to make it work, I've had it work on a save game before but then also I've had it not work on one. A new game would sort it
As usual though the console is our friend, select her in the console and type addfac 19809 1
Some people have reported that the mod only works with a new game and that happened to me once but then another time it worked. If you have finished her mini quest by either fighting and beating the guy or winning a speech challenge she should then have that dialogue. Unless you have got the amulet from another source other than in Riften. You have to talk to Maramel in Riften about weddings before the options will appear
Thanks, yes I am one who doesn't use the console, I did once when I was about to be killed by one of the dragon priests, I met him far too early and one or two hits from him was enough to kill me. I was only level 2 or something, so I used the console to kill him. But it ruined the game for me, by the time I had got to level 5 it felt like I'd cheated so I started again.
There are people who say that you can marry Carlotta in the default game by doing her favour and then playing tag with her daughter but I've never managed to do it. So I made this mod
I thought that I'd clarify why this mod exists while the console command has always been an option.
There are two reasons:
1. This makes the situation a bit more lore friendly
2. Some might consider using the console to do so cheating, and there's a lot of people that flat out refuse to use the console so they're not tempted to use it later to actually cheat.
The first time I tested this it would only work on a new game, since then I've had it working on old saves. Are you definitely wearing the amulet after you've done the favour. It definitely works
Also check if you have any other Carlotta mods or marriage mods that may be conflicting
Why do people insist on telling us that we can do this with the console. We know we can! Some people don't want to have to use the console and want to make her like us! Telling us we can use the console is like telling us that if we turn the light on it gets brighter!
