Haven't bothered trying this just because I don't care that much about the title screen music. The soundtrack does however sound great. I ripped the whole thing to flac and it sounds amazing.I wish there was a way to run those in game. If anyone knows if it is / will ever be possible to use lossless in game please let me know.

    Thanks

Hey, what about the Bethesda intro drum beat? That's the worst quality sound I've heard since Atari 7800.

Excellent! I hated how compressed the theme sounded. Is it possible to replace the rest of the game's music with high quality versions as well?

Now just waiting for some higher quality death sounds... anyone got a horse I could borrow?

No but seriously thanks for taking the time to do it again, will be updating over the previous one.

If the studio quality is not any better than you're right. I meant and just assume that original raw studio quality would be better, but not all have access to that.

Anyway, thanks to ohneschlaf, I can make another version from a 40 MB EAC copied WAV source.

CD to MP3 to WAV to XWM (lossy?) is not lossless...

And the soundtrack CD is lossy? I don't think I've ever heard of a retail CD being lossy before, but then again I do not own the soundtrack to confirm that. (unless you are talking about it being converted from a higher than 16bit 44.1khz source).

Would be nice to have the lossless version of the audio in game though, but I doubt xwm is lossless but then again I've never even heard of it before, why they don't just use OGG for low bit rate lossy audio is beyond me...
