I'd like a version whose visual effect doesn't activate until combat is initiated. I like the visual, but I'd prefer it to be off when I'm not fighting. I'd rather not have to remove the piece of armor to suppress the aura.
Another possibility would be to seriously mute the aura, or confine it to the clothing. I like the idea of clothing/armor made of fire...sort of like Killer Kleo's super-skimpy glass armor, but made to look like fire, so semi-transparent, multi-piece (top, bottom, bracers/gloves, circlet, boots).
I have a problem. I put the enchantment on some clothing but when I wear the clothing, it effects people who I do not even see on the screen. I mean every single enemy on the map.
Hit the console key [~] Then type player.moveto 0001a67c and hit enter.
You now should be in a bizarre unknown room with a few npc's standing around. ( like a purgatory for skyrim ) I believe this place is where the npc's come to.
If Belethor is actually dead, you should see him here. His dialog functionalities are still available and should have the, ''What do you have for sale'' dialog.
To get him back into his shop, you will need his Base ID number, which can be found on Skyrim:Belethor ( for reference ).
Teleport back using the coc whiterun command. Stand in a clear space near the shop, [~] and type player.placeatme 00013BA1 and he will appear.
Now, in the mist of all that I have stated above >> When you teleported to the unknown room and you find that he has no sale dialog. You will then need to teleport back to Whiterun and talk to each individual npc until you find that specific line. I know it's weird but that's how it is. Unofficial modification to any game is prone to unforeseen events such as this.

Edit: NVM, someone beat me to it....

Lots of great possibilities here.

What's wrong?
Instead, try using the player.moveto command.

Tip: Check Ysolda.
The enchantment is always active but it only damages enemies.
